Army nursing board met on Tuesday, Nov. 17th and I guess we should expect to hear from them today. Anyone else went up for the Nursing board and if so have you heard anything? I hope we all get accepted. I am excited and really want to go to OBLC in either the February or March class, if I am accepted, because I heard the summer's are brutal. I hope by the end of the day we will all have good news!!!

Congrats Everyone!!!:yeah: Now just waiting for our scrolls to be approved, commissioning, and then orders. YEAH!!!!

Congrats to all of you!!! Question: What have you guys been told about commissioning? My recruiter told me that things have changed and that you don't actually commission until 72 hours before going to OBLC.... I graduate in May and signed a letter of intent a few months ago. just wondering what you all had been told. Also, what assignments did you all choose?

Congrats to the selectees and welcome to the greatest military the world has ever seen!!

I was told i was selected a few days ago and the same info about the scrolls.. he said that it looks like i'm going to OBLC in June/July.. which means 6 months living at home now haha. oh well! It's finally starting to get going! Now, just have to get the direct deposit, duty station choices, and other details sent in.

This is what I was afraid of that we wouldn't be leaving for OBLC until June/July when it is hot as hell in Texas. Sucks, but at least we know we are leaving. Does anybody know how long the scroll thing takes before we can commission?

Specializes in Acute Surgery/Trauma.

Yes!!!! It is going to be VERY HOT IN SAN ANTONIO so please be very prepared but then again I don't know if you can prepare for that type of heat.....LOL!! I went for AIT years ago and I remember us having to get up at 3am to PT and it was still hot!!

Congrats!!! to you all that have gotten boarded and good luck!!! Hopefully I will be joining you in the Army Nurse Corps, but no OBLC IN THE SUMMER.....TOO HOT!!!...LOL

Have any of you signed any papers yet?
