Those are perfect I think programs can be strict but if you are working as a cna they should be fine. My grandma used to wear those when she worked in the hospital..
I think the mesh would allow bodily fluids to soak through but see what your program says. Here is a link to all of the white shoes on Eastbay.com for Women just in case your program doesn't accept those shoes.

I'm a clinical instructor. We're bound by what the healthcare facilities require as well as by what our school's require. Some instructors and places might let the not-white-with-mesh slide, but most wouldn't, especially the mesh part.
If the shoes are available in all white, that's one step closer, but they still have mesh, and that's a pathogen and safety issue.
I love those! I almost bought them last year but my program rejected them because of the metallic detail. I was disappointed.
I hope they are not that strict. There is almost no detail on them and they are really comfortable. I guess I'll find out in another week! Classes start the 27th and we have orientation on the 28th (which seems a little backwards).
You really, really don't want anything you can't wipe down with a bleach wipe. I've got so much yucky stuff on my feet duriing clinicals and at work it's ridiculous. I wore these for the past two years:Anywear Injected Clo in White from Anywears cheap, very comfortable, and the strap counts as a back. I just started to wear Dansko Soltices. I was fortunate enough to get them as a gift from my aunt and uncle. I'm still breaking them in, but so far they are very comfortable. The only problem with the Soltice compared to the Professional is the Soltice has a higher heel. I'm used to walking and even running in heels (former dancer) but it could be a problem if you aren't used to walking in 2" heels.
My worries are that they are not completely white, which I hope is still acceptable.
These are the requirements for shoes that my nursing department said:
Plain, all white leather shoes/sneakers
No open toes or heels
These can be nursing shoes or walking shoes manufactured by sports companies
No clogs or open back shoes are allowed.
No canvas or nylon shoes are permitted (essentially any shoe material that body fluids can soak through are not allowed).

We would not be able to wear these. They have to be all leather and completely white at our school. Someone asked during orientation if they could wear white Nikes and the advisor told her only if the swoosh and everything was white.
I bought Nike that are all leather and all white with a smaller black swoosh on the one side. I did see a pair of white leather nike's with a white swoosh on the side after than. I wore them for the first and second semesters so far without issue.
Just a curious question for those who say that clogs are not allowed. Dansko markets themselves as clogs, are these acceptable in your program? They definitely have a back, you can clean them easily and they love my feet. My feet love them too!
I wouldn't buy these shoes though, if they specifically tell you all white, that is what they mean. And I agree with the mesh being a pathogen...
I think most programs would accept danskos. The definition of a clog is a shoe made of wood, but it's also come to mean a backless shoe like a Croc. I would think that most programs would have nothing against a nursing shoe like the Dansko Professional considering a lot of nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel wear them!
