I am. It's just who I am, and I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing. I don't need others approval, I just enjoy being nice. I am always smiling and happy, I am nice to new people, agency nurses, etc. Why can't everyone be like me in the medical profession? (kidding)

I am the exact same way. I'm so bubbly, always smiling, my voice sounds as if I'm four years old, and super nice.
Sometimes its an disadvantage in working with adults, but oh well. I am who I am.

I am the same way--being catty and nasty get you nowhere in life, and I'd rather be known for being nice ten years down the road then be known for other things....keep on smiling, karma is where it's at

LIFE ADDICT RIGHT HERE!!!! I'm really bubbly and sensitive also!!!! (I usually use a lot of exclamation marks, BTW haha). Some people wonder why i'm always so darn happy, and I guess even just being alive is worth smiling about, these days. But I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve and I know that I need to not let things get to me.

I feel like the title of your thread and the description of yourself are talking about two different things. :) I'm not a bubbly person by any definition, and I usually let negative things that people say to me roll off my back unless it's particularly unjustified or nasty, but there have been a handful of times where patients have affected me so much, I had to go to a private place to wipe a few tears away.
So, I'm sensitive to kindness and gratitude, but I will also bare my teeth in defense of myself.

good words, thanks
Well I just skip through the pretty flowers smiling and being nicey-nicey to all and sundry.
Oddly smiley happy-clappy dosen't do the job for some of my dying oncology patients or their relatives.
Guess I'm just not "sensitive"

I'm almost always in a good mood. The way I see it, I woke up, got out of bed on my own and am aaox3, got a job, not in jail. Life is good. I laugh a lot but can be deadly serious when I need to be. I find starting a conversation with a smile and "Hi" sets a very good tone with patients and people in general. Sensitive? Not so much.

i can't say i'm sensitive, in that i cry at the drop of a dime.
but i am sensitive to others moods, needs, feelings.
and while i can come across as somewhat abrasive, i'm a very decent person.
one of those iron fist/velvet glove.:)
