Per the request of janina08 I've started the April NCLEX takers support group. When do you take it? What are you using to study? Would anyone like to review any of the systems/meds that he/she feels weakest on? Let's keep each other in our prayers and good thoughts as we go through one of the biggest experiences of our lives. :)

hai 2 april nursing family...........frm 2dy onwards i hav 13 more days for my test.......i felt like i dnt knw anything and i couldnt evn 2 review .......no concentration ,can any1 tell wht 2 do ??????those who wrote d test wht you people hav done in your last 2 weeks???????plzzzzzzzzzz reply me back.............thanksssssssssss
You are explaining how I felt when it was 13 days from my test date. Just try not to get freaked out. Say to yourself, wow I STILL have 13 days, and I can do so much during these 13 days and keep studying. Do questions and review ur lab values, and try to focus on ur weak areas (ex. if pharmacology is ur weak area, try to spend maybe 1-2 hours a day atleast on that). If you are near to bookstore go there and check the books they have there: Exam cram (just scan thru it - coz if u've been studying for 3 months, and if u are like me, it's easy to forget information, so exam cramcovers soem major conditions etc in brief - like what u need to know for exam) - and then keep checking this thread and read the information others post. Then there is book called: I forgot the name, I think it's nursing made easy: not incredibly easy the other thin one. It shows stuffs in pictures etc. it's thin. U can sit and scan thru it in 2 hours. It will help u review and scan and retain what u've studied. And then just keep doing questions. Just don't let the fear factor get the best of u - it can be a killer! Good luck to you and my other April family who'll be testing tomorrow, day after to m orrow and in the coming days. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Many good vibes and good luck and prayers to you and to others of us waiting on our results.
Do let me know if I can do anyting, like post information etc as I wait on my result. Coz when u have days numbered, u wished someone could post lab values for u or verify certain info for u as u don't have time to go in detail in couple of days.
Good luck Rose and everyone else :redpinkhe:redpinkhe:redpinkhe
I'll keep u posted what will happen to me. I'm still praying to God to pass me. I don't want to be the one breaking the chain
And guys,
In exam cram, there is a pharmacology section, it's so much easier just to scan through or revise. Like I got one med, I didn't know what it was just seeing the last four letters, I was able to pick the answer. And exam cram does that for you with quite a few medications, and it was helpful. And u know it's easy to forget the older information that u studied maybe 2 months ago, so this nursing made easy book, I scanned thru it, one question I was able to do it based on that. Coz it's easy to forget information sometimes. I'm glad I looked at it before exam.
I just wen to Barnes and Nobles and spent my last 4 days, looking at exam cram, nursing easy and the RN NCLEX pocket book - as I felt I don't have enough time to look at everything. And then lab values, infection co ntrol and triage-disaster gave a good look the day before exam also. This is what I did, dunno if I'm in or if I'm out with that.
Hope that helps :redpinkhe
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! It is an adrenaline rush! I totally agree! Now onto getting a JOB! How do you decide when everyone hires you right on the spot!!!!:heartbeat:nurse::heartbeat
Wow!! Congratulations Latueno I'm still here scared to check my results. It will be on pearsonvue tomorrow, but I'm scared and .
Congratulations Chichimitchi and Supernurse08!!I am so happy for you!!
Moments.....hang in there....I will pray that good news is waiting just around the corner for you.
I'm getting so nervous, I test Tuesday.
Thank you Teresa. Please, try not to get the nervousness get the best of you. You've been studying, so you know more than you think you know. you and other April testtakers are in my prayer. Same advise, to Riza, Mave, Rose and other guys, plelase don't let the fear get the best of you. I know it's easier said than done, but please don't let it get to you. Pray and study.
Ok, so I have a question. I checked my state BON for my PN results after taking the NCLEX-PN. So Pearson-Vue also posts results? Are they posted sooner then the BON?
Also, a couple of classmates said they paid an extra $10.00 to get their results sooner. Does anyone know about this?
Thanks!

Yeah Pearsonvue posts it too. Well the pearsonvue employee said u can check it within two days by paying extra money. How many days does the BON take to post the resulsts usually?
Can I just say that I'm feeling SUPER nauseous and terrified?! I'm going to spend my entire day tomorrow studying lab values, infection control and whatever else I can think of.
I.am.scared.out.of.my.mind!!!!
I'm shaking a little bit even as I write this. I'm sorry everyone. I'm just feeling really scared.

I understand you Mave :icon_hug: My exam was wednesday. On monday night, I couldn't fall asleep. I lay on my bed 4-5 hours trying to put myself to sleep :s. Please, don't get freaked out. We are all praying for you all. You have worked hard and don't let negative thoughts get into your mind at this point. Just revise ur lab values, infections, triage (I didn't get any traige - but just incase). You all are in my thoughts and prayer :icon_hug: :redpinkhe:redpinkhe:redpinkhe Everytime you get terrified, pray. I know easy said than done, I'm terrified as I wait on my result. It's late and I'm still here, I need to be up early for work, but I'm here. But, once OR2CA wrote, "the shortest distance between your problem and your solution is the distance between your knees and the floor." I thought the questions weren't as hard as Kaplan. They felt like Saunders to me. Please, don't get scared. Just take deep breaths and do your last minute preparation. Good luck to you. We have so many good people rooting for us and that itself is a good sign.

Thank you so much, MomenTs. :icon_hug: You are going to make a terrific nurse. :) I'm just scared because everytime I take a stupid practice exam, most of the time I get in the 50% range. I'm so scared that won't be enough. I want to pass it the first time and be done with it!
Anyway. Enough of my pity party. Good luck tomorrow, MomenTs!! I think you'll see GREAT results when you look in the web site.
we are doing amazing, guys!! let's keep it up!!
