Published

Hello everyone,

I decided to start a thread for those taking nclex in april 2009 so we can support and encourage each other. Please share your thoughts, fears, anything.....What you are using to prepare etc.

This will be my second time taking nclex. First time (nov 12, 2008), i had 75 questions....felt horrible when i found out i did not pass. I made a study plan and promised myself to stick to it and not procastinate, gave myself 6 wks of studying. I am studying saunders 4th ed for content review, doing questions from saunders cd and nclex 3500. I plan to re-take nclex on april 1st, 2009. I am hoping for the best for all of us yet to pass nclex.

Because I couldn't take the highest anxiety level anymore I just schedule the exam for today

just to make sure I will not postpone again and realizying that if I will wait one more weak I am gona get

worse and I will fail.

The comp shut off at 75Q...It should be a good thing b/c after so many hours of studying...I should be

Ok....but ...WHO KNOWS?

I tryied the Pearson trick but doesn't let me go to pay for another exam b/c is saying that I have another open sesion...and I don't...

Now....12SATA ,5-7 cognitive level ,the rest teaching, delegating and ofcourse a lot of prioritization...

We 'll see

Hey Moseshopper!

Its crazy because I just read your post on "NCLEX Blues" and I swear you sound just like me. I am getting ready to take this evil evil  test for the 3rd time in May (havent picked a date yet). The first time I took the test was back in September 2008....got 265 questions and walked outta there feeling brain dead. Took it the 2nd time March of this year, got 75 questions and was almost POSITIVE I had nailed it! I was so freaking DEVASTATED when I found out that I had failed! Not only failed but did way worse than I did the first time!!:banghead:

I did the Kaplan the first time around, studied Saunders the 2nd time around...so now I dont know what to do! I am thinking of maybe doing the online Kaplan again for the Qbank questions since everyone keeps swearing by them but its so dang expensive! How are you studying this time? Do you have a date yet for May?

P.S. Im a pretty big procrastinator myself so I thought maybe we could help each other out....need moral support!

Oh My God I feel the same way, we must be family!!!!

I PASSED ...so unofficial result after EXACTLY 48hours AFTER I finished the examination ..

my screen turned gray so..I don't think that is really relevant.

Good luck everyone and Thank God I will have a nice Easter .

The trick really worked:yeah:

i am taking my test on april 4th. i am so nervous. i am using sanders 4th edition and also doing ncbsn. i don;t know what else to do . i feel like i am loss becuz my result verys of th cd test. sometime i get 90% and other times i get 50%. i try to the the quizes 10 guestion on each subject to see where my weakness is. does any one have any sujestion for. please let all pray for each other and good willing we will pass. as long as we never give up. one day we will be passing med like the other nurses at work

Ok so this is whatz going on with me.

I have been reading allnurses.com and found out that if you go to Pearsonvue and try to reregister to take another NCLEX test after you have just taken it, and it lets you go to the payment screen that means you have failed. However if it does NOT allow you to the payment screen that means you have passed.

I called Pearsonvue and the women on there told me that this is absolutly not true, however everyone that has tried it, it has worked for them. Am I worrying over nothing or should I be scared??? I AM SO SCARED because it let me go to the payment screen. I took Kaplan and I was only scoring around 55%-58% on my Question Trainers and my Q-bank questions.

I took NCLEX today and it stopped at 75 questions, I freaked out especailly after trying this pearsonvue trick thing. I just don't see myself falling consistently below the boarderline and failing.

Does anyone have ANY advice on what they think. Kaplan said with my scores she would have expected me to have had more questions.

Sincerely,

Worried

I can't call it. Even after I said I wouldn't, I did try the 'trick' this morning- & it wouldn't let me go to the payment page. BUT I took nclex yesterday, and my screen turned blue when it was over- and I read somewhere on here that if you passed, it would turn grey. :uhoh3: My friend took hers Friday, her screen turned grey- and she found out she passed yesterday afternoon. At this point, I'm trying to get all these little tidbits out of my head- we're ALL just looking for SOME kind of sign that we passed, you know? Anything that would make the wait a little less stressful. It's easy to get caught up.......let's just hope and pray for the best! Can you do the Quick Results?

Yes I can do the results and my screen also turned gray.

the lady at Pearsonvue swore that this is not a valid way of finding out, but 3 girls in my class now can't re-registar for their boards and its letting me.

I am soooo worried.

I totally understand!! It's enough to drive you insane!!!! I've been crying nonstop since last night. :banghead: Try to hang in there, I'll be hoping for the best!!!

Do you know if this Pearsonvue trick really works???

Because if it does, I'M SCREWED.

I cant stand the waiting.
