Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello everyone,

I decided to start a thread for those taking nclex in april 2009 so we can support and encourage each other. Please share your thoughts, fears, anything.....What you are using to prepare etc.

This will be my second time taking nclex. First time (nov 12, 2008), i had 75 questions....felt horrible when i found out i did not pass. I made a study plan and promised myself to stick to it and not procastinate, gave myself 6 wks of studying. I am studying saunders 4th ed for content review, doing questions from saunders cd and nclex 3500. I plan to re-take nclex on april 1st, 2009. I am hoping for the best for all of us yet to pass nclex.

luv

i was wondering, what do you mean by you studied for three hours? three hours from saunders and the rest of the day you did questions? please give me some advice on how you studied for 5wks because that is the same amount of time i am giving myself. please help thank you

The impression I get from their post is they studied for 3 hours a day. When studying they probably just concentrated on answering questions

I am hoping to test for the first time this month. Still waiting for the BON and Excelsior College to get their stuff together. I am using the NCSBN program, along with looking thru Kaplan and Saunders. I hope to tell you guys soon that I passed. My graduation date if 4/17 and I am not even excitied about that!!!! I just want a test date. How crazy is that??????

Not crazy at all! I graduate on the 17th too, but all I keep thinkin about is the test. I WILL be happy to see everyone again (last day was 3/25), but I'm goin out of my MIND waiting for my # so I can schedule test!!! :crying2: I totally understand what ur goin thru!!!

i meant that i studied from saunders book 3 hrs a day and did questions the rest of the day (100q-256q) from saunders/nclex 3500 for 5 weeks.

hello.i'll be taking the exam on july 15 ,i'm using suanders' comprehensive review,NCSBN,nclex3500,nclex in a flash, some notes taken from the net for my review..Just concentrated on the questions, read the rationales after that.

I took the NCLEX on april 3 and only received the results today. When they say 48 hours, they mean business hours because I took it on a Fri. and received results on Tues.

I am happy to report I passed. I came out of the test positive I failed. The test was awful and left me feeling stupid. I did 75 ?'s before the comp shut off. To anyone taking the test this month, have hope. Good luck to all.

Yes, learninext has been very helpful for me, wish I would have used it before I had taken my 1st exam

:clphnds::dancgrp:YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey there! I took the NCLEX Apr 6th and get my results in pry 30-40mins!! I'm really nervous because I really feel like I failed. I dont know why because I studied my butt off. I studied the Saunder, Kaplan, 250-New Format Questions and PAID for a prof study course by Nursing Consultants. I mean then when you go in there and the questions are like nothing that you studied:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:!!! I will report back with my new!!

Spiffy did you try the "trick" to use with Pearson?

I'm not for sure what u mean by the 'trick'??? I can say the trick is eliminating 2 anwsers and then determine the correct one. That's what I did. Have you taken the NCLEX?:nurse:

Spiffy I was talking about pearson vue trick...but I think you are not so familiar with the topics here..

If you are trying to pay (in the same day with examination)for another examination...people said that

they are not allowing you to pay...so most likley you passed...some of folks tryied and worked...

The tricks that you are talking about.....I hope will work for me too ...soon...

Congrats...I hope I will feel the same one of those days....

3rd timer!!! took the exam yesterday and was not as anxious as before but expected pc to shutoff @ 75 but didn't so i took a break and then it shut off @ around 120-125. i checked my last question if it was correct and i feel like i chose the correct answer... exam consisted of mostly tb, priority types, 5 pharm/med, 5-6 sata's and 1 ed calc... now, the best part.... waiting for results!!! :smokin:

good luck to all & congrats to those that passed!!!
