Anyone Still Waiting to Hear?

I applied for an accelerated second-degree BSN program for next fall; I applied the first week of September, so next week will mark 5 months since I applied. I have heard nothing yet, and I am getting so nervous about it. The program only accepts 20 people, so I am really not feeling very confident right now.

Anyone else waiting to hear, and want to keep me company?? :D

Wow, that's a long time to wait. I think I'd go insane. Kudos to you for your patience!

I just finished sending all the parts of my application this week. From what I've heard, the school I applied to takes 2-3 weeks to respond, so I'm hoping to hear soon. My stomach flips every time I start thinking about it.

Yes, definitely kudos to you for waiting so long! I'm in the waiting boat, too. I'll hear back in about 2-3 weeks as well.

One of the schools I applied to will not give us notice until late March (program start is summer). You are not alone!

I am right there with you too. Our schools application deadline is March 5th and they send out notifications on or about April 5th. I still have a little time to wait. :uhoh3: Good luck to you! :)

I am waiting to hear from three accelerated programs to start this summer: UW, OHSU, and UofA.

Where did you all apply?

For those of you who applied to multiple programs, what will you do if one accepts you while you are still waiting to hear from the others?

Does your school give you a decision deadline? My application becomes available tomorrow and I won't hear anything until June :-( so I haven't even begun the wait!

Thanks everyone for the replies....in some strange way, I find comfort in knowing I am not the only one who is waiting on a decision as big as this! (Although I am sorry that you are all waiting too.) :crying2:

The deadline for the application was back on November 30th- I think that is why I am so frustrated; I just want to know. I applied to PSU; that is the only one I applied to; I have a family, so I couldn't really go anywhere too far away from where we live now.

Yep, I'm in the waiting boat, too and won't find out for another couple months. Yesterday I received a letter from a school I applied to saying "Congratulations" and at that moment I swear my heart stopped beating, then I continued reading only to see "your application is complete and under review..." bla bla bla. What a tease!

I wasn't referring to the application deadline, they should give you a date that you'll have an answer by also (it gives some peace of mind I guess! haha) for example, my school has a notification deadline of June 30th, meaning that I will have a definite answer by that date.

I couldn't believe how long the wait was going to be at my school (almost 6 months!), but they don't look at applications until spring grades are posted in May so I guess it makes sense.

I'm waiting. Applied Jan 6th and hope to hear by March 6th. The wait is so stressful.
