Anyone in the Sacramento area get an answer yet?

Published

I've applied to 5 area schools (Sac State, Sac City, Sutter, ARC, and Sierra) I'm waiting and I can't help but to be anxious. I thought it'd be nice to know who has heard and when. Thank you!

RNbound83; Can you check to see if this link is still up...I'm not able to pull up using this link??

Thank you.

Did your friend get in for the spring semester? When did she find out? Just curious....I have a couple of friends waiting on Sierra and I couldn't get info from my instructor, so just wondering. I figured it would be this weekend, but wasn't sure.

I got an acceptance letter from Sierra last Monday or so. The replies were due by the 21st. Yesterday.

Congrats!!! It's a good school...we have a good class. It's nice because they are smaller than many of the othe schools. Good luck to you, you'll do well. Like I said everyone who started is still there.

Crazitree,

Are you on the Sp or Fall track? Do you have any experience with the online lecture format? I'm a little apprehensive about learning all of the lecture material via blackboard. Any info on that?

Thanks,

Keith

Hi Keith,

I am on the Fall track. Although, I have found lecture to be somewhat of a waste! I can honestly say that I would learn a lot more if I saved the two hours of drive time and stayed home to watch lecture! Now, things may be different in semesters to come, but from what I've seen so far, you will be just fine! I know one guy that is graduating this semester from the online track and he pulled off working full time while in the program and did just fine. I wouldn't worry too much.

Congratulations on getting in!! I'll say hi if I see ya in the hall someday:)

Good luck!

Today was a double-whammy....got rejections from Sierra and ARC. So that leaves Sac State...

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!

Hi, Anyone could teach me how to post messages in here?

You're off to a pretty good start! What do you need to know?

MedicalNerd,

Did you tutor through the school? How do you get a position like that? That would be a great way to stay on top of A&P...thanks for the tips!

Yes I tutored through the LRC as a Beacon tutor for groups. I really enjoyed it and it has really helped me stay up on the material that I spent long nights learning! Marsha Reske is the coordinator for the Beacon program at ARC and she is always looking for individuals to tutor students. I tutored specifically for 2 instructors (Liz Torrano and Marcie Woolsey) so you may want to talk with the instructor that you had and find out if they are interested in having you be their tutor. Genarally they like you to have a specific instructor that you tutor for.

Hi, I took the NCLEX RN yesterday, November 21, 2008 in Indiana, the first time. It was difficult and different from the one I reviewed for months like Saunder's Compre Review for the NCLEX RN 4th ed, Saunder's Computerized Review, Saunders Test taking Strat and Kaplans Test Taking Strat. I honed my test taking skills and I thought I was more than good enough and had to much on my review but it surprised me. I maximized the 265 questions and I've been waiting for the comp to shut down after I was done with 75 question because I did my very best to defeat the computer. But as it progresses, it gave me much more questions and I got tired, But I tried to focus but it felt like it exploited the oxygen and glucose to my brain and end up to265 questions. It was hardcore. My faith and God are the reasons keepme holding on. I graduated in the Philippines, Far Eastern University, and a US citizen. I have a social security number so. that's it.

I wasn't nervous before the exam I was actually confident but after... Oh God, I felt defeated. But I managed to move on and pray because I trust God, I trust his way more than mine.

How should I manage to maintain a peaceful heart? Im uneasy right now. huhuhu

well I guess a reply date of the 21st fir Sierra settles that.....what a depressing time of year.....twice a year...:plsebeg::deadhorsehe he
