Anyone in the Sacramento area get an answer yet?

I've applied to 5 area schools (Sac State, Sac City, Sutter, ARC, and Sierra) I'm waiting and I can't help but to be anxious. I thought it'd be nice to know who has heard and when. Thank you!

"Is Sierra lottery or by GPA? What about ARC?"

When I went to the information session at Sierra, the woman in charge of the meeting stated that if they see applications with a lot of "C's" they might bypass that application for another with better grades. Personally I think that is quite ironic because last I checked the minimum grade for their pre-req's is a "C". She also said that they do look at the applicant's cumulative GPA.

I'm in! I got two letters today. one was a rejection from Sac City, the other was an acceptance into Sierra College. It's so unexpected that I am just stunned.

I'm excited (and still wondering about Sac State). I got my letter from ARC today. I couldn't believe it. ARC had 900 applicants this period. I don't know how many spots they have, but that's something like 200:1.

I hope you're not getting discouraged! Lottery is just a crap shoot. You'll get good news from Sac State.

2 more weeks...hang in there.

Well, it turns out I did receive my Sac City rejection letter a few days ago, but, at risk of sounding like a total cliche, the dog ate it!

My husband told me just now when I mentioned that ARC had 900 applicants.

You know I think 900 is the most that I have seen in the last five application periods. It was always around 600-700 applicants ya know? I did get my rejection from SCC. Whatev...I heard of an acquaintence getting into Sierra on her first try. Uhg, sometimes I think karma made me fight for my spot so I would know how much I wanted it.......

Ive only seen two people on here say they got into Sierra. Do they send out rejection letters? Or only acceptance letters....?

I haven't heard from Sierra yet, so it's safe to say they have not sent their rejections out yet. I'm sure I'll be getting it soon though. The wait is making me crazy! What could possibly be taking Sac State so long? It makes me nervous...like maybe they had more applicants than usual. Ugh!
