I've applied to 5 area schools (Sac State, Sac City, Sutter, ARC, and Sierra) I'm waiting and I can't help but to be anxious. I thought it'd be nice to know who has heard and when. Thank you!

I did not receive an e-mail from Terry either but I did juts go Sac States nursing website and it does say that e-mails will be sent out on Dec 3. Makes me so mad...... First they said they would be sent out on Nov 15, then they changed it to late november, and now they changed it again for Dec 3............. Are they trying to kill us? I've had to say no to other schools already in hopes of getting into Sac State and they still haven't sent out letters! Well one more week to go I guess unless they change the date again! Happy turkey day everyone!
I feel a little better. Sounds like she sent the email around 6pm...if there was some problem with her email she likely had already left for the day and didn't realize it didn't go out to everyone. At least I hope that's what happened...and not that they lost my app! (knock on wood)
Less than a week to go...
Has anyone taken chemistry at ARC??Did you take 306 or 309? Just trying to decide which one is easier. I have a strong chem background as I have already taken Chem 1A & 1B (Chem 400 and 401).
Sac State requires an organic/bio chem.
They said I either take 306 or 309.
Or take an o-chem class and a bio chem class.....THIS SUCKS!
This is what I know about the Chem classes.
306 is the 2nd half of the college chem courses including some o-chem.
309 is both 305 & 306 together in 1 semester.
If you want to use the x-fer to Sac State then you can take the 309 and it should qualify. Last time I looked it was.
If you have a strong chem background... save yourself the time and energy and do the 309. It goes fast and you will be done in 1 semester.
Good luck :typing

I think that's what I will do, just take 309 and get it over and done with! At least with O-chem I can apply to other state colleges in California.
Hey, I just had a thought. Did those of you who didn't get the email check your Sac State (my sac state) emails? Maybe you have your defaults set to a different account than the one's you checked. I know that I changed my default awhile back. At any rate, the email didn't say anything other than what the website says now.
I am going crazy here and need some advice from anyone who is famiiar with Sierra College!! This was my second time applying to SCC, ARC and Sierra College. I was not accepted into any of them, but was told I was qualified into ARC and SCC, but not Sierra. Funny thing is, is that I applied to Sierra last semester and they told me I was qualified and now they didn't. I haven't changed anything on my application. All my pre-reqs are finished with A's and B's and I have no repeats in my sciences, (which is important).
They actually stated in my letter that my grades didn't qualify. Wow, I have all A's and B's here. Do you have to have staight A's now? If so, I'm screwed and will just have to keep my fingers crossed for ARC and SCC. I'm going crazy here-this is my career!
Any advice would be appreciated! Could they have made a mistake? I know they plug everything into a system and base it all on an 84% which I am above.
Good luck to you all and congrats on anyone who got in!
I'm a pre nursing student at Sierra and this last month Dean Keaner came a spoke with us and told us that we didnt' have to take the TEAS test until we are accepted into the program...so this confuses me as to why they would say you didn't get in because you didn't take the test...plus you did take it. Just thought I would let you know what she said.
I applied 5 times to Sierra before they decided to tell me my grades weren't good enough for them (3.5 - 3.6GPA)! You did much better on the TEAS than I did (though I passed). I had one repeat, which I know hurt me, but it couldn't be helped (emergency surgery in the middle of a semester - I tried to stay in the class, but ultimately had to retake Anatomy). This whole thing has made me so upset, I could scream! I love how at the end of the letter it said that they cannot tell us individually why we didn't qualify. Thanks for NOTHING. I know you will get in somewhere soon. You obviously are a smart and motivated person! I will have to wait until August of '09 and move myself up north.
Kew82,Hi there!! Oh yah, I took my Teas test and passed at an 83%, which was well above the 67% they required. Nothing else changed on my application since the last time I applied and suddenly now, I'm disqualified? I passed my reading prof and have no C's or repeats. Strange!!

Well, I am joining this thread late but I applied to ARC and Sac City and about a week ago I received both of my rejection letters
This was my second time applying to both colleges. I am hoping that the third time is a charm.
