You know, the one where your significant other is sleeping and you're too wired to go to bed....so you end up creeping around the house?? I should be in bed, but I just can't sleep. Too many thoughts are running through my head. Just had our first clinical of the semester and it was a doozy! Now I can't shut my mind off....

Yeah, that's normal. My husband and I both do shift work and are usually up for 1-2 hours after we get home. Right now I'm off at 11:30 and get into bed around 1. He's off at 3 and hits the bed about 4-4:30. You usually need some unwind time.

Me! Me! *jumping up and down, waving madly* Hubby is snoring as I type. I went to bed with him but ended up coming downstairs. Sometimes he's ready for bed before I'm completely wound down from work.

Yeah, me....I'm wide awake! I have an interview on Tuesday and can't sleep!
Tuesday?? Well, that's gonna be a long time to go without sleep! :rotfl: Good luck with the interview. :icon_hug:

Midnight crawl for me too I guess, I don't work tonight, but can never get to bed before 2-3 am on the nights off. I wish there was more to do late nights! Husband in bed since 10 pm.
I know right? Tuesday seems like forever away. I've just been shot down for so many nursing jobs I've applied for and no one wants me due to "no experience". I'm a new nurse, never worked in a facility before, just got my license in May. I want this job so bad. I really just wish right now that I could sleep!

I'm here too! I slept too late today so I can't sleep now. Not unusual for me. I worked nights for about 12 years, and liked it, but then I went to an evening shift for over 3 years. Now I'm back on nocs again.
Altho I like the shift I work, I don't seem to recover as quick as I used to and sleep too much on my time off.
Ugghh.....now it's time to go to work!!!! I really hope I can stay awake. I work doing data entry for background screenings......real repetitive work...boring work......I never did go back to sleep! going to be a loooooonnnnggggggg day. Have a good one everybody.

Yeah, I was a creep for two years. Ended up on a CPAP five years down the road. I'm not sure if there was a connection, but I know I never adjusted to those weird hours and sleepless days and nights. Not for sissies.

You mean it's not 'normal' to want to run the sweeper at 2am??:rotfl:
