I thought I would start another thread about Yale GEPN. Would like to hear from anyone and everyone thats applying to the program for the fall of 2008? Its obvious that all of those that applied for the fall of this year have gotten their acceptance letters and congrats to them all, hopefully I will meet them all next year. In the meantime, I would like to hear from those going for the fall of 08. What were your major/degree in undergrad? Where are u now in the application process?

Ok. I finally got the letter.

I made it to the second round. My interview is on January 18th.

Problem is ... I'm also invited for an interview at UCSF on the same day! Do you think I can reschedule my interview with Yale to the 22nd?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes, I think you could definitely reschedule your interview with Yale. They seem to be really accommodating, so I'd give Angela a call. Congrats on getting an interview to both schools!!

Byrd you can call the office of student affairs or you can email Angela like I did. Why do you think it was you personal statement. How was ur GRE scores and GPA and what specialty did you apply to again?

My GRE was competitive, but not outstanding and I have a 3.64 GPA. I appliend for CNM.

I think Yale will be glad to reschedule it. Problem is, they won't be open until the 3rd! :angryfire I'm in dilemma right now, because I have a 10% coupon from United Airlines that expires on 12/31/07! Lol.

Oh geez! That is quite the dilemma! if you use your coupon, does it allow for any changes? Gosh, I'm sorry! I did get an email back from Angela while she was at home on vacation though, so maybe trying emailing her to ask if she could give you a response?

I called the office and they told me they don't have any more slots open on the 22nd for the ACNP specialty :uhoh3: I'm having a panic attack!

Is there anybody interviewing for ACNP specialty on the 22nd willing to switch spots with me? My interview is on Friday, January 18th at 10:30am.

I would really appreciate your help! Thanks in advance!

Oh no! Did you try calling UCSF or seeing if there were openings on the 17th? Worse comes to worse you could take a red-eye from NYC to SF and interview with UCSF on the 18th still.

No, I haven't called UCSF, but I will when they open in a few hours. I doubt UCSF will be flexible when it comes to interview time. :uhoh3:

There is always the option of a phone interview. I think they understand that this is a stressful, difficult time and that not everyone has the money or a job that will allow them to take off for a couple days.

I know Yale will allow you to do your interview by phone.

I needed to do that because I could not take time from work.

Anyhow, good luck. Breathe.

Fingers crossed for you that UCSF can change your interview date!! Otherwise, I think the red-eye was a great suggestion, or a phone interview! Don't worry, you have options!

Yale emailed me back later this afternoon, saying they have reserved a spot for me on the 22nd :p :smiletea2:

I feel relieved. Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Anybody interviewing on the 22nd wanting to get together for a coffee, perhaps?
