I thought I would start another thread about Yale GEPN. Would like to hear from anyone and everyone thats applying to the program for the fall of 2008? Its obvious that all of those that applied for the fall of this year have gotten their acceptance letters and congrats to them all, hopefully I will meet them all next year. In the meantime, I would like to hear from those going for the fall of 08. What were your major/degree in undergrad? Where are u now in the application process?
I also received an invitation to interview a couple of days ago (applied to the FNP specialty). I've been out of town for the past two weeks so I haven't had a chance to see what my interview date is, but I'll be able to find out next week. Like Blujai, I'm so excited to get a few days to explore the campus and New Haven!
I got my interview invite through email today. I'm so excited and scared at the same time...I haven't gotten the actual letter yet though. In the email the interview dates were Jan 17, 18, and 22...does anyone know whether it's all three days or just a scheduled interview for one of the three?

Hi Kensington and Ham, I am also from the Bay Area (Berkeley), but I just moved to Portland, OR.
I won't be flying out though. I asked for a phone interview since I work full-time, and am poor as dirt.
Ham, they assign you a date (I think they assign the Jan 18th date to far away folks since its Friday, but that's just a hunch). If it doesn't work for you, they will rearrange.

We used to live in Berkeley - such a great town! We moved into the city now, but I do miss my little neighborhood there. Who knows, perhaps we'll be making another move to New Haven! Here's hoping!
hi all! my interview is scheduled for jan 17. i applied for the acnp specialty and am a fellow san franciscan as well so I am happy to hear so many of us got interviews! i am planning to fly out jan 16 to BDL but have not decided whether to book a hotel or stay with a student yet. i have checked southwest but their flight times and connections are horrible. i even went through the yale link to go to orbitz and they have pretty good deals but it is still a good sum of $$ considering I am broke from christmas shopping and what not. Does anyone know which hotels are closest to the campus and how far the airport is from new haven?

I got an email for an interview, but my "official" letter hasn't arrived yet because I am having my mail forwarded from my mailing address to my permanent address where I am staying for the holidays, which has unfortunately delayed its arrival. Anyway, all I know is I have an interview, but nothing else. So, I need some help from you guys!
For those that applied to the FNP specialty and received interview invites: when is our interview date?
Also, can anyone PM me and let me know how I can get access to the orbitz deal? I need to book flights ASAP since I have limited funds!!
People who are flying to make it to the interviews: are you going to fly directly to Hartford, or fly into LaGuardia and take the metro-north in? Thanks, good luck everyone!

I'm flying out on January 16th as well, although I'm flying into HVN, I think? I still need to look into all of it, but will be leaving from SFO. I'm also wondering about staying with a current student vs. a hotel. I think I'm leaning towards the hotel just to have my own place to relax! Anyway, I'm ACNP too! Yay for us! :)

I just booked my flight through the US Airways website -- I got a good deal through them flying from SFO. I fly in on the 16th and out on the 18th.
