Anyone Applying to Delta College for Spring 2011

With only 4 weeks until we can start applying, I thought that it would be nice to start a new thread so that we can all keep in touch, pass along information, and post our stats.

Well kristi u made me feel better with ur statistic lol......Wondering if anyone knows this...for our course descriptions...I was going to pull up the catalog online and print the 1 page with my course on it..Do u think this will be ok?

That is what I did, I think as long as your school name and academic year is on it, it will be fine.

Alykat- For the course description make sure that the page says the college name and catalog year somewhere on it, if it doesn't then they said you have to attach a copy of the catalog cover.

I got the email to submit documentation also! YAY!!! Debating whether to mail or drop it off. I live 30 mins away, but I work FT in Sac so it'll be difficult to get there. Glad everyone's getting the email ~ good luck to us all!

I got an email to submit my documents too. I am super excited but also kind of worried. Does this mean that even after submitting Docs that I may only be an alternate? Also can someone advise regarding the Teas. I took the Teas the first time at Delta and apparently it was enough to get asked to submit Docs. However, I also took the Teas at Hayward to improve score on 09/18 but it wasn't computerized so the result came in a day too late on 09/21. I did score higher my second try and did ask to have transcript sent to Delta. The app has my lower score, do you think I will be disqualified for not listing the higher score and if not do you think they'll let me use the higher score:confused:

I think they gonna use our lowest score the one you put in your app. gud luck!

@ pagan...I don't think you'll be disqualified for submitting the lower score but I don't think you'll get credit for ur high score either...They will prob use the score that u turned in on ur app. Had u given them ur high score they will use the highest of 3 attempts.

I was so bummed about not getting anything last week that I didn't even check my email until this morning. I am so excited that they finally sent out the emails!!! I don't know how I'm going to be able to wait until December for a final answer!

Did anyone receive a Pell Grant//financial aid? What type of documents are you submitting for that?

Yay! This is a least one step closer! I too received a congrats email..Saw it this a.m. After reading lanakopp's post that we may not receive anything until the first weekend in Nov., the wind kinda left my sails...But now its blowing full speed! WHOO HOOO! Did anyone else apply for the LVN as well? I also received an email to submit docs for the LVN program. I will be submitting for both programs since I'm not sure if I'm an alternate for the ADN. I think I too will hand deliver docs. Good luck everyone and again CONGRATS!!!
