With only 4 weeks until we can start applying, I thought that it would be nice to start a new thread so that we can all keep in touch, pass along information, and post our stats.
Congrats everyone! I too will be hand delivering everything. I will be putting everything together today, and hand delivering it tomorrow. I also want to submit everything early, so that maybe I get a quicker response.
Pegan, I agree with everyone else. I think that they will use the score that you submitted on your application.
Roxy, did your email say what kind of document they wanted. I think that you can log into the financial aid website and print out the award letter as proof, but you should email them to be sure.
My email just said to provide a a document that shows receipt/eligibility for financial aid. I emailed them & their response did not help at all. I asked to provide an example of a document I can use, but they replied with a vague answer saying "you must submit documents to verify the info on your app." I will probably just print out a copy of my SAR from FAFSA & a copy of my financial aid summary on my school's financial aid website.
For those who took the TEAS at another college I think you have to submit an official copy of the results that you put in your app. It's weird though because I remember the app saying to put your first passing score just for eligibility purposes & that they will use your highest score when calculating your points. Luckily I put my highest score on the app. Good luck everyone!
Hi Roxy, I've taken my courses at CRC/SCC so I into eServices and "account activity" and just printed that. It shows I received financial aid so I'm hoping that'll be good enough. But I'm sure what slrberry said about printing the award letter will work also, if you're set up already at Delta.

I saw this too and was worried, but I too put the highest score. It was a little weird because that page had contradictory info!
I have a question. The email that was sent yesterday says that we don't have to submit transcripts for any prereqs taken at Delta, yet when it lists a list of all of the schools they need transcripts for, it says something like, "Provide trascripts for ALL colleges listed below" and Delta is listed.
It doesn't make sense to submit a Delta transcipt to Delta, so I just want to make sure that I really dont need to sumbit one? Any thoughts.
slrberry - I would email them and ask. I have been emailing back and for all morning with my issue and they have been geting back to me fairly quickly. You don't want to mess up your application and be disqualified for a misunderstanding. Do you mind posting what you think will be your total points? I know that you seem to have the most points available of those of us posting. Good luck.

Thanks! I emailed them, and they got back to me within an hour.
I believe that I have 78.5 points. The reason that I am not certain is because I dont know if I get points for having both my LVN license and having my CNA certificate or if I just get points for the LVN license. I am thinking that I might get both because they requested copies of both, but if I only get points for 1 of them, then I have 76.5 points.
What were your total points?
I just put together all of my supporting documents, but I am nervous about submitting them, for fear that I didn't include something. We've all waited so long to get here, and I hate to be disqualified for such a silly reason. I think I will have someone double check my checklist with my supporting documents before I turn them in.
I am going to hand deliver mine documents tomorrow. There is no way I'm trusting the US postal service! I would be a nervous wreck till december if I did! It doesn't appear that we are turning the documents into the nursing department so I am wondering if the Admissions & Records department will have anyone willing to look at them????
I
slrberry - I am hoping that my 69.5 points will get me in:). I think you and I might have taken the teas test together at delta thur pm session. There was a lady I was talking to that had all the same qualifications as you have posted and I remember thinking, "this is the person I didn't believe could existed, lol" made me nervous wondering if my measly 69.5 points wil get me in.

Yeah, I was there for the Thursday pm test. I remember talking to someone by the door as we wre waiting to check in. I remember her saying that she took all of her prereqs at MJC, and I talked to her about Sac City College and American River College in Sacramento. Was that you? If so, what a small world!
I think with your points, you have a great chance of getting in!

caRNwnt2b, I also applied for the LVN and got the email to submit docs for it as well. I am just applying for anything and everything! It's worded kind of different, but we still have to wait until December for both :-( I've been getting all my docs put together today so I can get it there with plenty of time. I can't wait to find out!!!!
