anyone applying to CU for 2010?

Published

Is anyone going to put in their application this fall for Spring or Summer 2010?. I'm excited about finally getting to put in my application, I'll be attending the August 1st info session and be applying for the summer session. I will still be taking pre-reqs in the spring and I was so relieved when I found out I don't have to have everything finished to apply. My GPA is currently 4.0 and I should (I hope!) be able to keep that up until next spring. I'll be done all my sciences at the end of this summer semester and only have a couple math, a history and a pile of social sciences to do (music appreciation anyone!). The admission essay is making me nervous, but I have lots of time to work on it - I hope my GPA helps me out and they don't rely on essay alone.

I'd love to be in contact with anyone looking to get into CU.

BTW - I was going to go to DSN, but changed my mind since I decided to retake some old classes, and since we're paying for our own kids to go to college at the same time, needed to keep the cost down.

Hey All!

I just recently applied to CU for May 2010/January 2011! I am finishing up my last two pre-reqs (Micro and Philosophy). I am incredibly anxious to hear whether or not I have gotten in! CU was the only place I applied, so I am really hoping that I get accepted! Has anyone received word that they have finished processing their application? I haven't and was curious to see if they make a first cut, second cut, etc..or if they just send out all of the acceptance/rejection letters at one time? Does anyone know? Anyways, good luck to everyone that applied! Let's keep our fingers crossed!!

I understand that there will be (only) one wave of acceptance/ rejection letters going out around the end of March. I don't think we will hear from CU until then, as they are currently going through the selection process.

Stellagirl0512 - One1 has it exactly right. You should have gotten an email in Jan or so saying they had everything they need. Next are the final decisions.

Thanks for the response. I did receive the email in January saying that they had everything. Sand_Dollar: I am also happy that I am taking classes this semester, it definitely helps make the weeks go by faster!

Did you guys receive the ready-for-final review e-mail today? So I guess admission letters will now go out late March or early April.

One-

Ok the last one i received was in Jan (around the 15th), but I had previously already received one that said my application was completed and ready for review. Is that what your one today said? If not, what did it say?

THanks!

One1,

I haven't received that email yet. You got it today? Are they really saying we might not find out till early April?

I emailed them to make sure I had the email (it was, I got it on Jan 4th). Sue said "The next email you will receive will be when I do the final processing of your application. That could be any time between now and mid April."

I wonder why the additional time..... extra applicants perhaps? My BP just got higher.

Xtina, Stellagirl, the e-mail just said that my application has been processed, is complete, and ready for final review. I had the understanding that this was the status after my last e-mail, but either way I don't think it means anything other than that CU seems to be now ready to start the actual decision-making process. It did however say in this e-mail that admission letters would be mailed around late March or early April.

Try not to let it get to you! You might still get your letter in March, I think they might just want to make sure that the phones are not ringing off the hook on March 31 ;)

I think you are exactly right One1! :lol2:

I just got that email today too. Except mine said nothing of early April. I'm so anxious.
