Is anyone going to put in their application this fall for Spring or Summer 2010?. I'm excited about finally getting to put in my application, I'll be attending the August 1st info session and be applying for the summer session. I will still be taking pre-reqs in the spring and I was so relieved when I found out I don't have to have everything finished to apply. My GPA is currently 4.0 and I should (I hope!) be able to keep that up until next spring. I'll be done all my sciences at the end of this summer semester and only have a couple math, a history and a pile of social sciences to do (music appreciation anyone!). The admission essay is making me nervous, but I have lots of time to work on it - I hope my GPA helps me out and they don't rely on essay alone.
I'd love to be in contact with anyone looking to get into CU.
BTW - I was going to go to DSN, but changed my mind since I decided to retake some old classes, and since we're paying for our own kids to go to college at the same time, needed to keep the cost down.
New update!
I got this email just minutes ago...
"Thank you for applying to the University of Colorado Denver College of Nursing BSN program. I have finished processing your application and it is complete and ready for the final review.
Admission decision letters will be mailed around late March, 2010 or early April."
And here I thought the emails were all done, just how many reviews ARE there!! lol
Ah well, at least it's March!!
@Stellagirl - You made a very good point! I'd love a books icon too!!
@limeaid - Maybe it's just luck of the draw, or maybe alphabetical. My last name begins with E, so I might be near the beginning of the pile. (I used to be an M, so for me it seems like quite a leap up the ranks!) Or maybe I'm not even a contender anymore and they just sent those out to the slush pile. Ugh.
I am praying all of the CU applicants on this board get accepted, I don't want any of us to be disappointed.
Still no email... can I panic now? Should I email them maybe?
breath, Summit, Breath Remember, no news is good news (for now). I bet they got confused themselves by the crazy number of their status update e-mails. At this point, I think if you have not heard from them anymore it means your application is currently being reviewed. You could of course also send out a quick e-mail for peace of mind, at this time the advisors might be less busy since all the application "prep work" (the reviews for completeness) has been finished. Not much longer, and we will all know.
