Is anyone going to put in their application this fall for Spring or Summer 2010?. I'm excited about finally getting to put in my application, I'll be attending the August 1st info session and be applying for the summer session. I will still be taking pre-reqs in the spring and I was so relieved when I found out I don't have to have everything finished to apply. My GPA is currently 4.0 and I should (I hope!) be able to keep that up until next spring. I'll be done all my sciences at the end of this summer semester and only have a couple math, a history and a pile of social sciences to do (music appreciation anyone!). The admission essay is making me nervous, but I have lots of time to work on it - I hope my GPA helps me out and they don't rely on essay alone.
I'd love to be in contact with anyone looking to get into CU.
BTW - I was going to go to DSN, but changed my mind since I decided to retake some old classes, and since we're paying for our own kids to go to college at the same time, needed to keep the cost down.
If it makes any of you feel better, I went to the informational meeting on Saturday (for the 2011 application process..different than the one you guys went through) and they said they were still reviewing applications for the upcoming classes. Interesting...yet scary stat...they accepted 220 students out of 980 applicants the last enrollment period; they take about 30 per term into the Accelerated program. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU!
Hi Limeade, The specific start dates weren't mentioned. I just figured the stat given was for those who are already in the program (since they are still reviewing applications for summer 10 & spring 11 which was from the same application submission). Sorry I can't give you anymore information.
I received a letter from the financial aid office at CU-Denver saying I need to fill out some forms for the 2009-2010 academic year. Has anyone else received this form? It says I need to fax the forms with my student ID number, which I don't believe I have one (seeing as I have not yet been accepted yet). When I received this letter and saw University of Colorado on the envelope, my heart started beating so fast. I thought it was "THE" letter. But anyway..just wondering if anyone else got it, and what I should do about it.
Nope, no aid letter for me either. I would call the financial aid office Ada324 and ask them what you should do. The # is 303-556-2886 btw, I happened to have it open in another window before I popped in here. Great timing! lol
I would be optimistic if I were you! I think it sounds like the summer start because I read on their site that they determine the costs in the summer for the following year, and I don't think summer falls under 2010/11. Please let us know what they say if you decide to call them!

I actually got this letter before I was accepted. When I did my FAFSA last year it asked for schools and I put UCD down for the summer, just in case I was accepted for Summer 2010. I think when they get the FAFSA notification they need to have a file on you so they contact you for that information. I could be wrong though. Good luck!
Alippin, I am suppose to send these documents asap, or wait until I get accepted?
I would call them. I didn't have such a sense of urgency since it was way before the summer. You, however will want to ensure you have your funding if you do get accepted for June so I would call them and ask them.

still nothing here either...not sure what to do. They haven't seemed to stick to the schedule outlined in their original e-mail though, so I'm not too concerned. It seems they would send out another mass e-mail though, just to clarify for everyone.
