Is anyone going to put in their application this fall for Spring or Summer 2010?. I'm excited about finally getting to put in my application, I'll be attending the August 1st info session and be applying for the summer session. I will still be taking pre-reqs in the spring and I was so relieved when I found out I don't have to have everything finished to apply. My GPA is currently 4.0 and I should (I hope!) be able to keep that up until next spring. I'll be done all my sciences at the end of this summer semester and only have a couple math, a history and a pile of social sciences to do (music appreciation anyone!). The admission essay is making me nervous, but I have lots of time to work on it - I hope my GPA helps me out and they don't rely on essay alone.
I'd love to be in contact with anyone looking to get into CU.
BTW - I was going to go to DSN, but changed my mind since I decided to retake some old classes, and since we're paying for our own kids to go to college at the same time, needed to keep the cost down.
I feel the same way girl, I am having serious doubts about getting in... at least you have your Regis acceptance in the bag. CU is the only school I applied to. I guess it may be DSN for me, but I was hoping to avoid it because of cost and the accreditation issue. I have a 4.0 and it's not a guarantee by a long shot! I just feel like hurling right about now.
Thanks! I am so glad to find this website. I am really anxious about this whole thing, it's good to know that there are other people out there who are going through the same thing. I will definitely let you know about getting in. I have about a 3.9 GPA. I hope that's good enough, and I hope we both get in!
Smart thinking One1... we don't want dehydration and all that! It's going to be nuts trying to concentration on my last classes come March. I wish they had a website you could check your status on or something. Seeing your name on the screen somehow seems to make it better!
Are any of you still finishing pre-reqs? I am taking a full load this spring semester. 5 pre-reqs (stats, western civ, music app, logic and sociology) and 1 communication class as a requirement for my A.S.
Uh oh...I am slightly nervous, as I also never received a confirmation of my application. I had to send an email to my "designated" counselor to make sure they had my application. These "hiccups" don't bode well for my nerves, especially when the program is so competitive.
When you applied, did you receive an email confirmation of your application? I am curious to find out what the typical confirmation method should have been.

Sand Dollar,
Got the same email and felt equally sick! :) How is it possible that they had even more apps than normal! Its usually like 1,000! Crazy! Guess I won't be holding my breath for an acceptance letter!
