Is anyone going to put in their application this fall for Spring or Summer 2010?. I'm excited about finally getting to put in my application, I'll be attending the August 1st info session and be applying for the summer session. I will still be taking pre-reqs in the spring and I was so relieved when I found out I don't have to have everything finished to apply. My GPA is currently 4.0 and I should (I hope!) be able to keep that up until next spring. I'll be done all my sciences at the end of this summer semester and only have a couple math, a history and a pile of social sciences to do (music appreciation anyone!). The admission essay is making me nervous, but I have lots of time to work on it - I hope my GPA helps me out and they don't rely on essay alone.
I'd love to be in contact with anyone looking to get into CU.
BTW - I was going to go to DSN, but changed my mind since I decided to retake some old classes, and since we're paying for our own kids to go to college at the same time, needed to keep the cost down.
I submitted my app in the beginning of September. I received an email on Sept 9th saying they received my application and fee. Before the final due date (Oct 5) I asked if they had received my transcripts and they replied with the names of the ones they had received (it was both of them). I hope there aren't any snags for you EinGedi!
Thank you for your response, Sand Dollar! I am hoping my being left off the mass email was just an error. What will be the most painful is waiting until AFTER the holidays to get a response. Most college offices will be closed all of next week, so I will be diligently checking my email.
I will also stay tuned to the forums here to watch for any other mass emails that come down the pipe.
According to the email sent out on Dec 9th, we should be getting another email by the 15th informing us of any additional info needed. I just got that email today. It was short and said:
Thank you for applying to the University of Colorado Denver College of Nursing BS program.
I am currently processing your application and have determined that we have all the credentials we need at this time, including Fall 2009 grades.
When I complete the processing of your application after January 15, 2010, you will receive another email.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
It was signed by the Admissions Manager.
That was pretty fast since they said it could be as late as the 15th. Either I was near the top of the alphabetical list (being my last name starts with E) or they are really working their butts off and ahead of schedule. Either way, it's exciting!

Yup, I got my e-mail before the holidays, actually mid Dec. Same info. They needed some additional info on one of my classes. I got another one after I sent the info saying that the file is now ready for processing, not sure though if they mean making admissions decision or if there is another in-between step somewhere. Either way, not that much longer :)
Hi ada324,
You should be getting an email by the 15th if there is anything additional they need OR they will let you know they have everything to process your application. I still posted the admissions specialists email addresses on your profile, since they don't like email address posted onto the public forums. I am sure they will help if you have any questions, I was able to change one of my pre-reqs by sending them an email earlier.
I haven't found anything new out yet (sigh), but decided to check on parking. I thought I heard there was an insane wait list and thought I would call and get on it. The lady in the office said there was no waitlist for parking!
I live in Brighton and looked into the RTD option, but I can either be on the bus for 2 hours each way or park my beloved Jeep in a park-n-ride that's in a crime laden neighborhood. Neither are appealing options. Looks like permit parking is the only viable option for me.
Has anyone else started looking into/thinking about mundane things like this, or am I just a pre-planning, obsessive nutcase?

I didn't receive any email confirmation or any confirmation other than on the website when I submitted it.
I think I received a payment confirmation a few days before I submitted it when I paid the fee.
