Is anyone going to put in their application this fall for Spring or Summer 2010?. I'm excited about finally getting to put in my application, I'll be attending the August 1st info session and be applying for the summer session. I will still be taking pre-reqs in the spring and I was so relieved when I found out I don't have to have everything finished to apply. My GPA is currently 4.0 and I should (I hope!) be able to keep that up until next spring. I'll be done all my sciences at the end of this summer semester and only have a couple math, a history and a pile of social sciences to do (music appreciation anyone!). The admission essay is making me nervous, but I have lots of time to work on it - I hope my GPA helps me out and they don't rely on essay alone.
I'd love to be in contact with anyone looking to get into CU.
BTW - I was going to go to DSN, but changed my mind since I decided to retake some old classes, and since we're paying for our own kids to go to college at the same time, needed to keep the cost down.
Also - thought I would clarify. Each semester is broken into two 8 week blocks. The first two weeks of each block you are on campus Tues, Wed and Friday and then after the first two weeks you have clinical two days a week and class on Fridays. I know with Jan start the first semester is all on campus (2-3 days/week for most weeks although during lab exams it was 4 days for me) plus "mini-clinicals" which were only 4 days throughout the entire semester.
June start does it a little differently with on campus classes in the Summer and the first block of the fall.
More than 1/3 of the classes are online and after 1st semester, the only day you have to go to the campus is on Fridays. The rest is at the clinical sites and online.
I pushed the 'send application' button yesterday! I had my essay typed up for weeks but was waiting for the fall session to start. I know what you mean about nervous and excited! I'm trying to avoid thinking of it and focus on my current classes or I will get all bogged down and can't afford to mess up these last classes! Good luck, I will let you know what I find out and I hope you do the same... maybe we will be in the same class!
I got an e-mail this morning that my application is complete and I'll be included in the priority review. They said they'll send out notification in late November and if I don't get in, I'll get rolled into the final review and notified in March. I don't have high hopes, but we'll see what happens.
Anyone hear anything from CU yet? I am told most can expect to wait till March to find out but I applied by the priority deadline and just had my fingers crossed. I was told that there are only a handful accepted in November and the rest wait till March to find out. Anyone know of anyone accepted yet? I am curious as to the caliber they take early.

Thanks for the info. I knew it was very competitive, which is why I don't think have much of a chance with my GPA. But you never know, maybe they'll love my essay and I'll get lucky.
Good luck to you!
