Any GCC Students?

Just found out Tuesday I am starting Nursing School in January at GCC. I have been going there for 3 years getting my pre req's out of the way and finally starting Nursing School. How do we find out our class schedule?

Saturday night would work great for me I'm pretty sure. My dd a bday party at 2, but it should be over by 4 and maybe dh could pick her up from it.

I only turned in my preferences, that's what I mean by registering, lol. I AM excited I got your teacher Thrashej, it sure will help having a nice one. Actually Lillian not only looked it up for me, she told me all the classes LS was teaching. I had looked it up on the schedule before I left the house, but wanted to check JIC!!!

I"m good for any kind of food (except seafood, sorry). You guys know the area better, just tell me a time and a place (and maybe some directions lol)

Im glad that you heard she is nice, I dont know about any of them. I just took her because i signed up for the clinical that said TBA might be arrowhead you know on the paper. (online that section says Phoenix Baptist. I didnt want to do maricopa medical center or maryvale and I work at the VA hospital so i thought that would be weird if i did clinicals where i work...

So i have Dumas and Georgette Howard. I signed up for the math class and the study group class as well. Are you guys going to sign up for those?

Oops I went off on a tangent there... i signed up for dumas because she was teaching two of the classes and i thought it would be nice to have the same teacher for the clinical too (Phoenix baptist i think) on our paper it says TBA -maybe ACH

Hey guys and gals,

You want books, I got em. I am a block 4 student at Glendale and DONE with classes; only have my preceptorship left which will be at Arrowhead in ICU. What I would gladly part with is the Maternity book and workbook (I actually have 2 textbooks do to confusion with half. com and the bookstore). I never intend on looking at this book again! You will need it for block 2 and 4. Pediatrics, never intend on working there either so this book is for sale. I will sell all the books for less than the used price at the book store! Actually, I think my books cost about $750 for all of them! Geez, what a ripoff!

That's happened to me before. I then go to the bookstore, see the book, copy ISBN # off the back and order it off half.com. I usually save over $50/book this way. Usually more. I remember my micro book was $70 less than they were charging at Rio. Just a thought!

So dinner Saturday? Where do you have clinicals? I think that works for me as well ... I really dont have anything planned Saturday. Sunday my husband is going on a Jeep Trail Run so i couldnt go on saturday unless my mother in law isnt busy and would like to watch my son. Does anyone have food preference? Italian, Mexican, Hamburgers, restaurant or fast food?... and where?!?!

I feel like such a spy reading this thread :rotfl: A lot of times my study group meets at a place where it is cool to hang out for a long time. There are 4 of us. We have become really good friends, study group usually goes longer because of that :chuckle . Sweet tomatoes, IHOP, someplace like that!!!

Those of you who have just got in, welcome to nursing school. It is really not that bad, especially when you have friends who go through it with you. It is not as much torture. :p

I signed up for the study group too from 12:30-1:20p. It's helpful. I also choose the same clinical site you did. Maybe we will end up being study partners. hee hee
