Any GCC Students?

Published

Just found out Tuesday I am starting Nursing School in January at GCC. I have been going there for 3 years getting my pre req's out of the way and finally starting Nursing School. How do we find out our class schedule?

Never too early to find study groups

Hi my name is Kelly and I will be starting in Jan 2006 at GCC. I believe I'm the Kelly mentioned in the previous threads I'm taking Patho with Keli @ CGCC. Sorry to say I will not be able to make it tonight. I really wanted to go. Hopefully we can meet again sometime.

Anyway I just recieved my packet in the mail today, finally. I was getting nervous. Does anyone know the instuctors? I'm trying to pick out te sections I want I know I'm going to take

Nur 161 3210

Nur 104AB Probably on Thurs. 3225

NUR 169 @ MMC

Is everone going to take the math class on 1/12-1/13?

I'm looking forward to talking with you

Kelly

Kelly again, I have a question about getting in the classes you want. Do we go to the school now with our list of classes we want or do we take it later to orientation. My packet mentioned something about a early registration card, so does that mean I have to wait until after 11/18 to go down there and register? It seems like the only time I have to call the school right now is after hours or I'm on hold forever. So I'm really not sure about the whole thing. I would hate to drive out there from Queen Creek if I didn't have to. Ya know?

I appreciate any help or advice!:)

Kelly

You can take it down there monday you dont have to wait until the 18th. If you have a priority registration card they will just staple it and those people get into their classes first. I dont imagine too many people have those because most of the people that are going to GCC werent students there to begin with. Just a guess. Oh and as for the classes i am signed up for:NUR161 3210,

NUR163-3212,

NUR167-3218,

NUR169-3219 at Phoenix Baptist (the form says possible ACH)

studygroup 3225,

and math class 3312

angie123 i think is signing up for these too

So again TAKE THE LIST ASAP!!! I took mine on Thursday and i didnt have a card either!

Let me know!!

Mandy :)

Thanks,

I'm gonna go down on Monday. :)

This is just a joke, but thought I'd share it with y'all since we did have a "girls night out":chuckle

Why females should avoid a girls night out after they are married!..

The other night I was invited out for a night with "the girls." I told my husband that I would be home by midnight, "I promise!" Well, the hours passed and the margaritas went down way too easy.

Around 3 a.m., a bit loaded, I headed for home. Just as I got in the door, the cuckoo clock in the hall started up and cuckooed 3 times.

Quickly, realizing my husband would probably wake up, I cuckooed another 9 times.

I was really proud of myself for coming up with such a quick-witted solution, in order to escape a possible conflict with him. (Even when totally smashed...3 cuckoos plus 9 cuckoos totals 12 cuckoos = MIDNIGHT!)

The next morning my husband asked me what time I got in, and I told him "Midnight". He didn't seem pissed off at all. Whew! Got away with that one! Then he said, "We need a new cuckoo clock."

When I asked him why?, he said, "Well, last night our clock cuckooed three times, then said, "Oh. ####.", cuckooed 4 more times, cleared it's

throat, cuckooed another 3 times, giggled, cuckooed twice more, and then tripped over the coffee table and farted."

That's totally me!!!:rotfl: :p

:rotfl:

thats funny...although i think my last "girls night out" was like a year ago! LMAO

I made it home in one piece!! Actually it didn't take that long, but dh was playing Risk on the 'puter so I just now got on. LOLOLOLOLOLOL about that joke, that is wayyyyy too funny!!!

I had such a good time meeting you guys tonight. It makes me look forward to NS even more now.

Thrashej- Thanks for all of the inside tips and for saying we can make it :nurse: Sometimes you read things and all you want to do is :chair:  because it seems overwhelming. I"m feeling a lot more confident now.

Thanks Mandy and Angie for meeting tonight, I really did have a great time getting to know you. Hopefully we'll run into each other on campus...or maybe another GNO   :yelclap: :biere:

Keli

I am loving all the  :biere:  and while looking through them i found this one and it reminds me how i feel sometimes :sofahider from all the information or lack of

and then this one is awesome for the times when we want to jump over the counter at certain people in certain offices on certain campuses :argue: :smiley_ab hahahhaha:rotfl:

Talk to you all soon!:typing

Hey Girls, it was cool meeting all of you guys. Maybe we can all get together agian sometime. Thrashej thanks so much on the inside info, It was really helpful.

There is a really good thread about what you need in Nursing School... under the student nursing category. Janice what do you think is the most important item to get? There is a lot of talk about getting a PDA because you can download all the taber and drug guide stuff right on to it. What do you all think about that? might be worth a "few" bucks...anything to make it easier...and the shoes there are a lot of good suggestions for shoes have any of you heard of a good shoe? I have bad feet and even the reebok walkers dont help me... where is everyone today!!! LOL
