So I'm from Wisconsin, and I took the NCLEX yesterday around 10am. A lot of my friends who took it said they found out within 24 hours when they passed.. And I've heard this from at least 10 friends... But I still haven't gotten an email or anything! So just wondering, how long did it take people to find out their results?

My state did not offer quick results therefore I reapplied for the exam and it would not take my payment therefore I knew that I had passed. I know a lot of people worry about the website falsely charging their card if they did indeed pass, but it won't. Everyone in my class who passed received the popup that they could not re-register and only two individuals were charged because they did not pass.

Did your friends receive emails? Chances are, the BON doesn't have the resources to email every single test taker with their results. Have you tried looking at your state's license verification site? However, I urge you to be patient- many if not all states take the time to validate results prior to posting license status, and it may take 48 hours or longer for your name to appear on the website. Basing this off of my experience in my current state and posts seen elsewhere on AN.

According to my Kaplan instructor the pop up trick no longer works. I am sure you did well.
The trick does work. PVT updated their website on 8/23 and now you must put in a credit card number and hit submit to receive the popup. I'm sorry to tell you but your instructors is misinformed.

I took mine September 30th (my 2nd time),I'm from California who doesn't participate in quick result I did the pvt and it gave me the good pop up! I don't really know what to feel right now it's been 4 days and there's no other way of knowing if I pass or not but waiting for my official result.. Somebody there in the same situation?

I too am in California. I did the PVT and got the good pop up. 25 days later I receive my letter that I passed. Just do something that takes your mind off the exam. Some period of time I actually forgot about the nclex and only remember because the nurses kept asking me when I volunteered.

The trick does still work in a similar manner as before, however, since you put your credit card info in first, the system will actually start the billing process. If you have passed, that "flag" will stop the payment from being processed. If that flag has not been set at the time you attempt the trick, even if you are later determined to have passed, payment will be processed and you'll be out $200. The PVT as it used to be set up (no monetary risk) no longer exists.
While you can check your State's website for license info, you might also want to check nursys as almost all states participate in the nursys. Only 3 states for RN and 4 states for LVN do not. It is not, however, a primary source of information, your state's BRN is.

I live in WI too...hello neighbor! The department of regulation and licensing updates every hour. Log in and find yourself, if you opted for a temp license and your credentials say expired the results aren't posted yet. It says expired because as soon as you test your temp license is no longer good. When it says active congrats, you are an RN! Most times results are up within 8-10 hours, on a busy day it may take a little longer. I haven't heard of anyone not knowing within 24 hours.

I took mine sept 24 and have been waiting since. Good pvt pop day everyday however I am still a nervous wreck! Check breeze as well daily. Called the brn and they said that my file was not complete, they r waiting on the evaluator to review my official transcript and then they can release my info. Dunno what to believe anymore.
