Tough negotiations for Task Force-NCLEX headed by Mr. Dante Ang.

Yes, it's now confirmed. Mr. Dante Ang was interviewed right after the negotiation ended and he said himself that the Philippines is now approved to be a testing site by NCSBN. It would now be up to Pearsonvue to set up everything.

The negotiating team was able to convince NCSBN that those responsible for the leakage are being dealt with as evidenced by pending charges filed against them.

A fully operational testing center might not be in the offing until early 2008 but still very good news as this will help those less fortunate to take it elsewhere.

that's a great news...:biggringi

:redlight: i hope there will be no bad entities out there to ruin the trust given by the NCSBN if it will really take effect...:nono: hope they will learn from the past issues/controversy...

:yeah: it will be a benefit to a majority of nurses since taking the exam in other countries is expensive...:icon_hug::bow::yelclap::smiley_aa

goodluck to all test takers...:rotfl::typing

btw, you know i heard just 2nyt in channel 2, ncsbn were satisfied to the meeting they had with the chairman of the one of the gov't departments that deals with overseas workers..aaaarrggh....i forgot the name of that department..depatment of blah blah..sorry i forgot, anywho..acdg to the chairman, the ncsbn were satisfied to wat they had on the meeting about establishing a testing site here in pi! wwoohhoo! praise god! on the news, it says that they'll start building the testing site by this year! see? god is good! always! alright! lets keep praying and thanking him for this wondrful blessing he made for us, filipino nurses.

***oh so that charman's name is dante ang!

tell you what guys...just an advice..why not just pray that this will come true! infact they announced it already tonight. february 10 2006, i watched it on "bandila" - abs late nyt news. please instead of bringing out the mess of the june 2006 board nle, geezz....to tell you it was solved already! move on filipinos! all of us wants to have a nclex testing site here.

lets just help one another in regaining back our dignity as the best nurses in whole wide world.

This is good news!!!

A very welcome development, imagine how many nurses will be delighted to hear such news. I know there are many well deserving Filipinos out there who can pass the exam easily but considering the expenses to take it abroad and with the present salary our professional are making, it would take them a year or so to apply for an exam.

I wish they could have decided much earlier on. I have to spend hefty amount for my scheduled exam this March in HK. :(

Lucky for those who will take advantage of this opportunity.

I would not be so fast to take that as law what was posted in that article. There are no details included and they would have been if the actual announcement has been made, just as they have when other countries have been added. These same statements have been made in the past, if you remember last years meeting in Manila, the same statements were made and Manila was denied.

Please wait until you see something come out from the Board that makes the decisions, and not from the Philippine newspapers. They have stated this too many times to count over the past few years and nothing has ever come from it.

And IF a center is granted, it will not be immediate. Many things need to be put into place for that to happen.

Forgot to add in: Look at all of the miscommunication that came out this summer over the Juen, 2006 NLE exam. It changed on a daily basis, and most was false hope that reporters came up with that caused much anguish for many here.

If there will be anything, wait until you see it posted on the Pearson-Vue website, until it is there, it does not exist. Or from the Board that handles the NCLEX-RN exam. Do not go by what you read in the Manila papers, they are wrong way too often on anything going on with nurses.

NCSBN has selected Manila, the capital city of the Philippines, as a new site for the administration of the NCLEX® examinations.
