I wanted to start a thread for all of the people who are waiting for the November ANC selection board, specifically if you have/waiting on the M5 identifier for Emergency Nursing. I thought we could suffer together and update each other while we wait. You are welcome to post if you have another specialty or none at all.
My status:
I have submitted all documents, and waiting on M5 identifier approval, physical approval and for the packet to make it past QA.
It is somewhat comforting to know that everyone else is on pins and needles to and the recruitors are not telling us all bits and pieces. my packet is in Kentucky for the board. I got a e-mail and call today from my recruiter that apparantly my physical was missing my eye exam and they wanted a copy. he said they are looking at my packet right now. well good luck to all! my prayers are for everybody. I am an OR nurse and I would love to go to landtuhl Germany. till we hear... hopefully before thanksgiving so we can really celebrate.
remember once the packet is submitted your recruiters have limited information as the packet is reviewed and eventually in the board. The board's focus is to review packets and place in order of merit - not to provide timely updates to applicants :)
I would say that normally a physical error would be identified prior to the board date during the qc process.... just my hunch.
That is exactly how I feel that why didn't they already find that error in the qc process? i was told that the multiple qc were done from nov 2-16 and my recruiter said it was being reviewed today. i just really would not appreciate it if I didn't get selected because of office errors. it is so out of my control that is what's killing me. i am trying to let it go and put it in God's hands, I strongly believe I have a purpose here and what ever happens is meant to be. where are u? r u waiting for your reults also?

Okay! I was wondering why others heard something from their recruiter, but I have not heard anything since my recruiter received the re-do recommendation letters..thank u just_cause!
I also have not heard anything from my recruiter. I have learned from past experience though, that if you don't hear anything, that is usually a good thing. Think about it. How often do you all get positive feed back from your nurse managers? I think at this point, we would only hear from them if something was missing or not signed, etc. This is a four day board. I believe the last day they meet is this Friday. I know, the whole "out of my control" and waiting is killing me too.
elumine, I haven't heard anyone provide board feedback here - where are you seeing/hearing this?
@Just cause..no i have not heard anything from anybody about the board..what i mean is,since nov 2(recruiter deadline) i have not heard anything frm my rercruiter...i guess it means that my packet is complete and no pro
elumine, best of luck - at this point you knowing anything doesn't help you &your recruiter who might be juggling several things... so just have faith in them - as that's all you can really do :) best of luck.
I applied for ANCP for fiscal year 11. Is anyone else waiting to hear if they have been selected for ANCP, or is most everyone hoping to go directly into OBC? The only info that my recruiter gave me, was that there are only a certain amount of scholarships and they are given on a first come/first serve basis. Thanks.

okay I think I'm confused! I thought ANCP is Army Nurse Candidate Program which mean for nursing student..so why did you applied for it if you already a nurse?..ANC and ANCP the same thing?
"Your application packet was boarded this week. We're still waiting for the results and it will take another 2 weeks to a month before those will be released. I will call you once I hear anything at all."
So there it is! Either way, I'm in the home stretch, kinda.
