I wanted to start a thread for all of the people who are waiting for the November ANC selection board, specifically if you have/waiting on the M5 identifier for Emergency Nursing. I thought we could suffer together and update each other while we wait. You are welcome to post if you have another specialty or none at all.
My status:
I have submitted all documents, and waiting on M5 identifier approval, physical approval and for the packet to make it past QA.
I'm trying for the direct route. I finished my BSN in June, and my M5 identifier has been approved. Now I'm just waiting to hear the results, now that I know my packet has been boarded! Exciting!! :)
"Your application packet was boarded this week. We're still waiting for the results and it will take another 2 weeks to a month before those will be released. I will call you once I hear anything at all."
So there it is! Either way, I'm in the home stretch, kinda.

What does it mean when you say your packet has been boarded? What are the final results? I am assuming that "final results" means the final selections. I am trying to prepare myself for the possibility of a ,"NO," but it's really difficult. I am nervous.
Hey guys!! I was just checking in to see how everyone was doing since boards started last week. Seems like everyone is still on pins and needles as we all were before I left. I don't know if you guys remember, but I'm down at BOLC right now. Just got back from my 2nd week of FTX last night at about 2200. I haven't received any news from my recruiter as well, but I had already told myself not to worry about it while I was down here. I am going to the field again Monday morning, but am going to shoot an email to him tomorrow. I just wanted to tell you guys that I have this feeling that all of us that are shooting for an M5 slot are going to get it. I don't know why, but maybe it's because I'm here and just feeling great about being back in uniform. In any case, everyone have a great Thanksgiving and good luck to all of you!!!
My application is up at the board too. I got a call Friday from the recruiter advising me that the form regarding my student loan repayment had to be resubmitted because the board found an error he made on it. Im hoping given that they wanted that form fixed its a good sign. I don't expect to hear back from the board until after Thanksgiving but it would be nice if we did... Ive been in this process for almost 18 months now at this point one more week doesn't matter. Good luck to all.

is the army has these three possible results from the board?..i read that the air force does have these possible answers: i quoted this from air force topic:d
1. non-select: means you cannot apply again
2. alternate: means you get "held over" and compete again at the next board for an available slot.
I am applying for the direct route, I have a BSN, and I also had the M5 identifier approved. I have been working in an ED for 2.5 years.
I thing the army also has a selection status like this also, but I do not know the official terms that are used.

Great to hear from you! I am glad that you are doing well. I hope you stay safe during training, and are allowed some holiday time. Keep us posted on your progress. If I hear anything at all I will PM you so that you will know to check in with your recruiter when you get some free time.

If you hear anything additional can you keep us in the loop? I think your recruiter is awesome for at least sharing that bit of info. My recruiter called me on wednesday (day after the board convened) asking for more evals. I had to assure her that everything she had already was everything that existed for me. I asked for an update as far as when we could expect to hear back to confirm your email today, but no answer. With this being a holiday week, I am not expecting to hear much anyhow.

I am an ADN with fourteen years of experience. I am in an RN to BSN program. That's why I have applied for ANCP.
