Anatomy & Physiology I/II Summer 2013

Published

Anyone taking A&P I or II during the summer? I attend a university in Maryland but live in New York so taking a summer class here would be costly with housing so my first plan was to just take A&P I at another university but they told me if I take the first one at another university, I need to take the second one there which makes sense. It wasn't my plan but you gotta do what you gotta do. Anyone else taking this class during the summer?

A week break would be great; my final is tomorrow in AP I and start AP II on Tuesday. Though, to be honest, I am pretty excited for it.

We had our last lecture exam yesterday, last lab exam is tomorrow and the final Thursday :nailbiting: . I did well in the first part, should come out with an A, even if I bomb the last tests. A&P II starts Monday, so no rest for us crazy exhausted summer students. *sigh* I will sleep for a week after the second part is over with.

Get a head start on endocrine if its covered in A&P2 and not A&P 1 like my school did. Having to learn everything there is to know about 18 hormones in a VERY short period of time was pretty challenging. Making a chart is probably the most efficient way to do it, or flash cards if those are your thing. They will come back to haunt you through the whole course so it's best to get them down ASAP.

I'm about halfway through A&P 2 and it's intense! Looking forward to having a short break!

It can be done...you just have to be dedicated/determined. Last semester I took A&P I during the 1st 8 weeks of the semester, A&P II during the 2nd 8 weeks and Microbiology during the full 16 weeks of the semester. I finished with a B in A&P I and As in A&P II and Micro.

I'm doing well in A&P II so far, I feel like I have a test or practical every week though!

Also for studying the bones and muscles I used this site:

GetBodySmart: Interactive Tutorials and Quizzes On Human Anatomy and Physiology

Very helpful.

I also wrote out the name of the bone and bulleted the important markings. So even if I got confused, I had a solid memory of what to look for.

My hats off to all of you guys. I took A&P I on a regular semester, I found it really hard.

Good luck to all of you :)

7 more days but am on 94% average..still gonna pull this A

I have a solid "D" right now. Ugh. I will be taking it again, but I HOPE I can pull my head out of my butt and pull a "C". I have been at every open lab, and logged many hours in the study room at school, it just isn't clicking. Next time I will take both lecture and lab AT school rather than lecture online.

One more week! I finally have a B, praise God! Never thought I would be so happy to have a B! Starting a&p 2 on 7/8.

I'm in an 8 week A&P1 class right now. There are only 5 of us in the class (small college) and although I missed the first exam (professor is letting me make it up with a research paper) tomorrow is a practicum exam on the whole skeletal system. I purchased these flash cards by Kaplan and they are amazing. I went to my moms house today and she drilled me for about 5 hours :o I have severe test anxiety but I'm feeling really confident. Our teacher is about 85 years old an forgets a lot what she has already said or what we have done but she knows her stuff and is super passionate. I'm taking A&p2 online next semester which has a virtual lab. So excited to get these two done cause they are the most time consuming pre reqs for me.

2 more days and have a 95 heading into the final this coming Monday!!! Soooo happy!!

2 more days??? wow i still got till weds day for the final and lab..may God help me
