Anyone taking A&P I or II during the summer? I attend a university in Maryland but live in New York so taking a summer class here would be costly with housing so my first plan was to just take A&P I at another university but they told me if I take the first one at another university, I need to take the second one there which makes sense. It wasn't my plan but you gotta do what you gotta do. Anyone else taking this class during the summer?
I must be doing something wrong. I am studying my ass off in A and P 1 and I have a C. I work fulltime and this semester is 7 weeks long. I've been out if school for 15 years and I don't know what else to do??
I got a C in A & P I too, in the five week session. But an A in A & P II in the regular session. Truth be told, I worked harder for that C than I did for that A. The five week sessions are brutal. I am an older student as well, but I'm determined to make it work! Buh bye pre reqs, thank God I have them all done. Stick to it, you will get through it.
Hi Smylee!!
My class is 4 weeks! It is A LOT of information. The best way for me to study is honestly just whenever I can.
I make sure I read the chapter, then I take the chapter quiz (my book has chapter quizzes online that are EXTREMELY helpful)
THEN I go over my teacher's power points and copy them down in my own words. I am ALWAYS looking at power points so if I ever find myself bored or not doing anything I just go through the power points.
Hope that helps! Good luck!!
So just took my lecture final and got a 108! After my lowest test is dropped and quizzes are averaged in I will end the class with a 99! My lab final is tomorrow and already I know I will get an A in there as well! I'm so happy! So see you can do well in summer courses even with kids and work, just set your mind to it! Good luck to everyone else!

Entering my final week of AP I and have 1 assignment, 2 exams, and 1 final exam. In my lab I still have the ability to miss 50 points and get an A, which means I could fail the last exam in there and get an A; hard work on the front end really helps to give you some breathing room. Lecture is basically the same story and there is a chance for 10 extra points on the final.
I am loving it and am so glad I made the decision to go back to school. I will let everyone know how the last week goes, should have final grades posted in Friday!!
4 more days!! And I am so glad I took this summer course! It wasn't easy but it fit the way I learn! I have two more exams and I could get C's in both and still make an A in the class (even though I'm still striving for all A's!!)
I do, however, feel myself getting a little burnt out so hopefully the week break before A&P 2 helps!!

I wasn't good with the microscope either! lol But one of my two lab partners was good at setting up the slides and being artistic I always made lovely sketches of the slides so it worked out and I got an A in A & P II. Microscopes are the devil!
