Several had mentioned starting a study thread early so we could get prepared for our fall A&P class, so here goes. I have gathered several websites from both here and on my own, so wanted to post them early on so that we wouldn't have to search for them. Please feel free to add to them and also any advice or study tactics that seem to work for you.
Thankyou to Eveyone here at AllNurses who have provided so much information in one spot.

Ok, that's it for tonight....I have several others but hopefully this will keep everyone busy for a day or 2 :chuckle:yeah:I'm sure we all have diferent study habits and will need to find our own way there but I am hoping we can work together as a study team.
Maybe each day or two, someone could provide a study tip or an mneumonics for memorization for tissues or nerves, anything that is helping you learn. Or if you come accross somethin that you can't use, maybe someone else can.
OFF to Bed for me
I posted it a couple of days ago, here it is again: http://faculty.css.edu/gcizadlo/AnatPhys/You can find the lectures and his slides there.
Thanks for the link. I've been listening ~ he's a great lecturer. He's very easy to understand and uses good examples. I've only listened to one so far, but I'm impressed.

Took this quiz and got 100%.
Thank you so much for all the web-sites. They are definitely going to be a great help for my Physiology and Microbiology too.
PoshGirl, I love it......a creative, catchy tune.
Here's another site given to me by a A&P Prof.

I labeled my huge paper skeleton today and actually purchased another one so I can put a heart, lung, etc on him....I have lifesize skeletons surrounding my desk.....stuck them on the wall so I could get a daily visual....they were only $4 a piece .....Halloween decorations for the front door but they will serve my purpose....LOL
Flashcrads are my best friend.....I follow the same procedure Poshgirl follows.
OMG! I am so overwhelmed after reading all these posts! I finally decided to follow through with my childhood dream of becoming an RN after teaching for 8 years...I registered for AP1 and a Human Growth & Dev prereq I need for my college...
I am VERY nervous but confident that WE :pumpiron: will all do well!
Count me in for the Study group!
Congratulations and welcome....you will love it here.
I have orgainized my whole study area....everything is now in order for the fall session.....got an e-mail from the Prof....read 1st and 2nd chapters....do not write in Lb book as it counts towards our grade....guess I am going to copy some of the pages and begin anwsering some the essay questions and completeing the exercises.
I keep playing PoshGirls video.....I love it....I may need to do that every study period...gets me going and is positive upbeat sound
I Have A&p 1 Starting In 2 Wks. I Have Heard Horror Stories!! Because A Class Was Full Last Spring I Am A Class Behind. This Is Going To Put Me Taking Microbiology During A 5 Wk Summer Semester. Everyone Says I Must Be Crazy. I Work Full Time But This Would Be My Only Class. Any Thoughts? Anyone Been There? I'M STRESSING.
