Several had mentioned starting a study thread early so we could get prepared for our fall A&P class, so here goes. I have gathered several websites from both here and on my own, so wanted to post them early on so that we wouldn't have to search for them. Please feel free to add to them and also any advice or study tactics that seem to work for you.
Thankyou to Eveyone here at AllNurses who have provided so much information in one spot.

Ok, that's it for tonight....I have several others but hopefully this will keep everyone busy for a day or 2 :chuckle:yeah:I'm sure we all have diferent study habits and will need to find our own way there but I am hoping we can work together as a study team.
Maybe each day or two, someone could provide a study tip or an mneumonics for memorization for tissues or nerves, anything that is helping you learn. Or if you come accross somethin that you can't use, maybe someone else can.
OFF to Bed for me
My A&P 1 class was full, so in order to get done for acceptance into NS- I have to take it online!
I can't find my book anywhere except for the rodp program online bookstore- they want almost 300 dollars. I was hoping I could find it somewhere for less... BOOK: Human A&P author is Fouche 1st edition isbn 0536781206 (bundle w/ lab manual)
anyone run across this book before??
And I'm all for the study group- I am very intimidated by this being an online class, but hard work pays off :)
yes MCB5603 well maybe.... I may want to transfer to rhode Island college but not sure ..... I do like that once the pre-req's are done at CCRI there are only 4 classes once you are in the program
Nursing 1 10 credits
Nursing 2 11
Nursing 4 10
Nursing 5 10
my brothers best friend is taking her pre-req's at BCC also.
And dont worry you will get through it.
Thank you SO much for the helpful links everyone! I am starting A&P1 in about a week and a half and am TERRIFIED. At my school, its considered a "weed out" class. I spent all of the second summer session in my speech class listening to people who had already had A&P tell me horror stories LOL

Shell75. you can do this....get your ducks in a row now....review this whole thread and find the useful info you need now....e-mail your Prof and ask what you can work on right now to prepare for class. Take a little bit of everyone's advice from here and find a system that works for you. It might be flashcards(write some of them out now,it will save time ltr) it might be visual (I got a large paper skeleton (Haloween) and tacked all the names I need on him w/post it notes)
We are all in this together, but if you get organized now, it will be better when you start class....I am takng several classes w/this one and still working.
