Anatomy & Physiology Fall 2008

Published

Several had mentioned starting a study thread early so we could get prepared for our fall A&P class, so here goes. I have gathered several websites from both here and on my own, so wanted to post them early on so that we wouldn't have to search for them. Please feel free to add to them and also any advice or study tactics that seem to work for you.

Thankyou to Eveyone here at AllNurses who have provided so much information in one spot.

Ok, that's it for tonight....I have several others but hopefully this will keep everyone busy for a day or 2 :chuckle:yeah:I'm sure we all have diferent study habits and will need to find our own way there but I am hoping we can work together as a study team.

Maybe each day or two, someone could provide a study tip or an mneumonics for memorization for tissues or nerves, anything that is helping you learn. Or if you come accross somethin that you can't use, maybe someone else can.

 OFF to Bed for me

So it's getting to be the end of the semester! How's everyone feeling? Anyone leaving the semester with battle scars LOL! We have our lecture final next week and honestly I am SO over this class right now. I have a high A going in, so I'm not too worried, just have to get through this last test.

I really thought the nervous system was going to be the death of me though. It was pretty much insane. Plus I DO NOT like the way the Marieb book presented the material.

My instructor wants my class to know about muscle tissue, nervous tissue, the spinal cord, and peripheral nerves all by next Tuesday- the day of the final. The material is too extensive. We already covered the spinal cord and peripheral nerves earlier this semester, so I don't know why we have to study it again. I'm not going to have a life for the next couple of days.

I just completed the Fall semester of API with.........

an A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I turned 55 on Wednesday and I'm so excited!!!

It's doable, ladies so don't let anything keep you from your dreams!!!

Ahhh I have slacked off so bad. We have a cumulative exam next Tuesday and I am cramming this weekend while at work!

Can someone answer what is probably a dumb question?

Is the amygdala involved with emotional memory? I know it is with fear response and emotional response, but is that the same as emotional memory?

Thank you so much (ALL OF YOU) for the kind words of encouragement you sent to all of us that are in our first few classes...I just finished my last final for A&P1...got an A in the class (YEAH!!!), but it was definitely NOT EASY!!!! I spent MANY hours away from my husband and kids so that I can focus and study...thank GOD I have such a wonderful family that is willing to support me.

I am scheduled to take A&P 2 in the spring, Chem and Micro in the summer... let me know what your plans are...

teech2nurse:yeah:
