Hey guys/gals I'm just wondering if their is anyone applying for this upcoming fy 2016 for direct commission into the navy. I guess I should have mentioned that I was referring to the nurse corps.
Hello Everyone,I just received an e-mail from my recruiter asking me to complete a "pre-enlistment" document so that he can begin working on my commissioning paperwork. Again, like several others in this message board I was selected last year but never commissioned (my recruiter never said the word alternate but for all purposes this is what I am). It would appear that things are beginning to move along for me, however, I still have not received any specific dates or information. Just wanted to update everyone on my progress. Good luck to everyone and I hope you hear good news soon.
Hello all...my update..just pased prescreen bc im 41 and attend meps wednesday. Im applyijg for a direct commission into critical care billet. 10 years of exp, ccrn, tncc ,fccs, and 4 years prior enlisted service.
The process is slow and ill keep you updated
Dam I was thinking of joining but it seems so difficult, I went as far as getting a green card, so if I apply for a spot for October it might take the better part of 2016? I really want to join, I have no idea what I am doing here, don't understand any of the terminology
Have you contacted a healthcare recruiter? They could clear up a lot of information for you. But you must be a US citizen to commission.
