Active duty navy fy 2016

Congrats to the both of you that just commissioned. That's awesome. I am also playing the waiting game j.jones as my package has been sent for review. I have 5 years prior as a corpsman and have been a nurse for 5.5 years in critical care. Good luck at MEPS!!! I'm 35, almost 36, and hoping I don't have to wait long to get picked up. Does anyone know when the board is meeting???

It's the new FY, they will most likely meet in November.

The board will meet nov 10. Probably 2 weks after that we should know. I have one last interview and then my packet is complete. There are only 10 critical care spots available and plenty of good applicants.

Has anyone heard about the boards?? I was on another posting for AF and someone stated they had been offered a Navy and Air Force commissioning already. Feeling the nerves of waiting and just looking for a little insight. Thanks

I am on the path of DA. The board has yet to meet according to my recruiter. Hopefully the meet in early december. He said there were not enough applicants to hold a board. Thats here in cleveland, OH

I am also on the path for DA. That is crazy they did not have enough for boards. My recruiter had nothing new for me last week. Thought I would come here to see since there are so many that have incredible knowledge and insight into how this all works. I have a lot riding on this and can not make many decisions until I know what the verdict is. Thanks for the info.

Still no word on DC for Navy Nurse Corps. I have been in direct communication with my recruiter almost every couple days. The commissioning board has not met so wait continues.

Thanks for the update. Talked to my recruiter wednesday and she said she couldn't get in touch with the PM. Should know more Monday. Will keep you updated.

Heard from recruiter that the board will be tentatively meeting second week of December. Good thoughts for all!!!!

Oh boy. The third week of Dec is flying by and my recruiter still does not know when the next revolving nurse board meets. It realistically looks like we will have to wait until January.
