Active duty navy fy 2016

Hey guys/gals I'm just wondering if their is anyone applying for this upcoming fy 2016 for direct commission into the navy. I guess I should have mentioned that I was referring to the nurse corps.

I am curious...For anyone who was still interested in active duty, were you not picked up? Do you know why? You can PM me if you prefer.

Hello USNHM2RN, BSN, I know this is an old thread, but I came across your post while searching for more information on Fort Belvoir. I am in the NCP program and am set to go up to Newport in April (hopefully moving that up to February as I graduate in two weeks and plan to take my boards in November). My story is a little different from yours as I will be a brand new nurse, but I just found out I will be heading to Fort Belvoir after ODS and am very curious about the hospital, the base, the lifestyle, where to live- absolutely everything and was very excited to find you! Would love to hear about your experience and am open any info/advice you may have!

Hi ladors!!

I saw that you'll be going to ODS in April, if you aren't picked for an earlier class? I'm in the NCP program as well and will be heading to ODS end of April! I don't graduate until December though. I got assigned Portsmouth, VA :)

Ah exciting!! Congrats on Portsmouth!! I called a few minutes late and ended up being one of the last picks, but I'm excited for Fort Belvoir/the DC area regardless. I'm surprised by my April ODS date as I was always told Jan/feb- hopefully I can find something to do in the meantime. I haven't talked to anyone else in our cohort, but it would be good to get some form of a group going!

Oh my gosh! I'm excited for you! From what I've heard, that's a really nice area! Yeah, it's a solid 4 months between my graduation date and ODS. I'm still debating what to do in that timeframe..

In regards to forming some kind of group, that's a great idea! We're not a big group, so it shouldn't be too hard to get in contact with everybody!

I'm so excited to go to ODS!!
