Hi !

I received the packet too and I just finished my FAFSA on the web. It took about 15 minutes - make sure you have your income tax return in front of you when you fill this out. Here we go................

so wait...they don't give u the merit awards etc. until the end? Sounds kinds backward to me...so we have to come with the funds up front and sort of be reimbursed?

How can we email or talk other than this....I am with you in the evening program...it's easier if we can talk.

Dixon809 - Good for you! Hopefully we'll get something...

OneDatAttaTime - I though it looked a little backward too. I'm hoping maybe there's something I'm just not understanding and it'll be cleared up during the financial aid workshop. That being said, I'm still applying for every other scholarship I can, just in case.

Well I'll definitely see you at the workshop!

Hi everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your last spring / summer before social life ends (i.e. nursing school). I know I am :)

I met with Financial Aid last week to drop off all my FA applications (due April 1st). They told me that they hold all of their meetings April - May and we should get award letters in June. Good luck to all of you.

Thanks for the update trigirl.....I mailed all my info in...so now I'll wait until June...good luck to everyone

I won't know if I'm taking my spot for a few months. But I had to accept it (and pay the deposit) to hold it in case my other options don't pan out...

Hey Jen

I applied and I also am on the waiting list. I don't think we will hear anything till after summer 1 courses are completed . At least thats what I have heard. Are you done all your classes that you need?

Did all the accepted students take the TEAS? What did you think? I had already bought the NLN book and refused to buy another expensive study guide, so I just looked over a couple things in the NLN book...but the test wasn't so bad. They said it was a four-hour test, but I was done in two...:w00t:

I took the TEAS test after using the ATI study guide and I did well. The study guide came with a online practice exam that I found useful, although I did much better in the real test than in any of the practice exams! It had been a while since I had taken any math classes, so I really made use of that section in the study guide.
