  1. Yes, Jen2sul I will be starting this fall, and I did have all my classes completed...If they didn't call you this year..just know that if all your classes are complete..then next year will be a go for you..I know it feels a little defeating..trust me I was upset when I received my waitin list letter in Feb, but I had to wait..and in between time I was taking classes at Temple towards my BSN..so don't look at the situation as being defeated, continue to take classes that will go toward your BSN, and at the same time if you are not a 4.0 work on getting there..that way next year the admissions committe will have no choice but to select you..take this time to improve and better yourself..good luck and again..never give up..
  2. Hello everyone...I was placed on the waiting list in Feb this year...I just received my call today and I'm in...hooray...:yeah::yeah::yeah:I will see all those who were accepeted soon..and to all those who are still on the waitin list...NEVER GIVE UP!
  3. Jill0107 I spoke with the director. I was told that if all of your classes were completed, and your Teas testing score met the requirments, then yes if still interested you will be rolled over for next year and guranteed a spot. All of your classed have to be completed and your GPA has to be good.
  4. Hi everyone, I received my letter on Friday the 20th. I too am on the waiting list. I called the school today to get some clarification on "the waiting list" I was told that the waiting list doesn't mean you are rejected. It simply means wait it stated. If for any reason the persons accepted don't pay their acceptance fees, or decide to go then the individuals on the waiting list will be selected. If you are not selected this year, you are in next year. To all those who received a waiting list letter don't be upset everything happens for a reason. Look at the situation like this atleast you will be in next year.
  5. I know how you feel Jen2Sul. I went on my interview in Dec, and I'm still waiting. Like you my interview went well also. I really really really want to get into Abington this fall. I have no back up plan and this is my dream. I'm trying to be patient and not think about my letter, but everyday when I arrive home I find my heart pounding as I reach into my mailbox. I was told that regular descision would be notified by Feb 15th, but I don't think thats going to happen this year at least. I spoke with someone at the school and they said all letters will be going out in March. I am going for the eve/weeken. Good luck to you and maybe we'll meet in Aug.
  6. Trigirl.M, the deadline for early decision is Nov 15th, so does that mean you received your letter in Dec. If letters went out one month after the deadline, then that means letters for regular decision should go out in Feb since the deadline is Jan 15th. Congrats on your acceptance hopefully we will meet in Aug.
  7. I also scored a 75% on the TEAS. I know I will get a letter its just that this entire ordeal has been a rollacoaster ride full of emotions. Abington is the only school I applied to. I know two people that interviewed there last year and was accepted for the 2008 class. My scores were great. My grades were great, and the interview went well. If I'm selected for 2009, my life will change forever. Becoming a nurse has always been a dream of mine, and I just can't wait to start. Good luck to you!
  8. Thanks for responding to my thread. Yes, I finished all my prerequisites, and I also went on my interview. The interview went very well, but I just want my letter now. Did you interview yet? How many classes do you have left? Did you take either the TEAS or NLN exam if so, what did you score?
  9. Hello everyone, Im new to this site. Im interested in hearing from prospective Abington DSON students. Has anyone received their acceptance letter for eve/weekend 2009 regular decision. Please let me knw. Thanks
