Found a live louse on a kiddo today. Got some tape & grabbed it. Not sure why I thought I should keep looking for more, but I did. Found a second & was trying to grab it...looked at the tape & the first was gone!!! Looked quick in her hair to see if I could find it & I couldn't. WHERE DID IT GO?!?!?!?! IS IT ON ME?!?!?!?! :wideyed::nailbiting:

I dreamed last night my daughter had lice....and they flew. I can't escape this thought!

Had a friend who works in the ER in a city tell me that one day they had a lady brought in who kept screaming "I have lice in my lady parts!" and they thought she was on drugs, so after some time had passed and she was calm. She told a nurse that she had lice in her lady parts. So she checked her..... she said there were hundreds of lice in her pubic area (poor lady!). And nests in her hair. They now have quarantine area for people that may have some type of bug. But this was crazy!

I was very thankful to not work in the hospital at that point.

Before I became and school nurse, I worked OB/ Women's health. I can tell you this kind of thing does happen and seeing it makes your skin crawl for days and days afterwards!!!! UGGHGHGHGHGH

Yep, crabs or public lice. This is what gets the students in my sex ed classes to go "ewww" more than any other STI they learn about.
