my condolences to you in the loss of your classmate.
when i look at the web site for my high school and see the number of deceased entries under some of the names it makes me so sad.
i still remember these as teens, full of life, and i wonder why i never followed up with them. so very sad.
Please accept my deepest sympathies for the loss of your classmate. Life IS so short. You just do NOT know when your "TIME" will be up! Cliches, I know but so true.
My husband just found out last week that a young man that he worked with was killed in June in an MVA--he was 22 and wasn't drinking that night. This man was known for being the partying beer drinking type. But he wasn't that night, just was a victim of not paying attention while driving and rammed his car into a telephone pole. Sad, very sad.
Again. My sympathies.

I agree. Since my bee sting reaction on the 2nd, I've felt very vulnerable and I'm not used to it; I thought I was young and immortal and so were all of my friends. Sure, the mirror lets me know every day that I'm NOT young (but the presbyopia helps that problem), but we miss the fact that our lives ARE just as fragile as a butterflys or our patients' lives.
KC CHICK, my condolences to you and your friend.
Again, in light of whats been taking place in our country...life is too short. Make sure you tell your loved ones how much you care everytime that you can. Because you just don't know. My prayers and thoughts are with all the families of the paassengers on the hijacked planes, all of the victims in the towers and to all the families of the firefighters, emt's and police officers that are risking their lives.

Just got a call last night with news that a guy I graduated with, from my ADN program, was killed Saturday night. He was out w/some friends for a batchelor party. Evidently, he drank a little too much and wandered off....to some railroad tracks. Not a lot left of him.
It's really a troubleing reminder that life is very short. He was young, had a new career in front of him, and was engaged to be married in the next year or so. His fiance also happens to be a nurse.
I see people getting diagnosed with fatal diseases and suffering almost on a daily basis. Guess it just hits a little closer to home when something like this happens to a classmate that is about the same age you are.
