What state do you live in and how many weeks post graduation did it take for you to get hired ?? Hopsitals in NY aren't hiring new grads at the rate that they use to,so I heard...I am so willing to relocate.

All I know is, don't come to Massachusetts. I graduated in Spring of 2009 and I still can't find a job. It's depressing.

Not California, in the Bay Area, many people have not found a job even after a year.

WV. I was already working at the hospital so I just transferred to a nursing position once I passed the NCLEX. However, we have several new grads who weren't working for our hospital that were hired as well. My co-workers who graduated in Dec don't know of anyone in their classes who passed the NCLEX and couldn't find jobs.

Ohio. I think it took about 2 months, but there are hardly jobs here. Look at Texas! I think there are several needs and opportunities.

What about upstate NY? From everything I've heard there are jobs there.

Chicago. I graduated December 09 and took a mini vacation and started work in March 2010. But i don't suggest moving here to find a job cause half of my classmates are still looking. and my hospital just announced that they are on a hiring freeze for another month.

Northern California: It took me about 3 months (and substantial compromise on my original plans) to find work. Nine months later, some folks from my class are still looking.
