A Public Thank You

Published

Somebody (tnbutterfly won't tell me who) gifted me with a year premium membership.

So this is a thank you, random citizen, for the lovely gift. It means a lot to me that someone would do this for me. I'm not even a nurse yet.

I'm not good at expressing myself sometimes but please know it made me cry.

Love to all my friends

I think you were gifted with the membership because you are so very Ood and we'n's tend to like Oodness in a poster!

PS I drive a 13 y.o. chevy which has, over the years, got dinged, scraped, and lost most of it's shiny black paint to long-term exposure to the sun and rain, etc. But it has the heart (engine) of a trooper. As long as it runs without giving me any trouble (and it has been remarkably free of major repairs) I will drive it through rain, sleet, snow and dark of night; it is very dependable!

I drove an '04 Subaru Impreza like that. She looked like I'd driven her to hell and back, but never did anything but replace breaks and the serpentine belt. Last summer she just sort of fell apart. Heat/air went out, blew a relay in the cooling system that caused an overheat, the O2 sensor they seem to have built the car around (that is, you have to take the car apart to get to it) went out so she wouldn't pass emissions... So I traded her in. Sigh. I loved that car. My Hyundai is nicer, but the all wheel drive, fat tires, stiff suspension, and 2.5 liter engine are all sorely missed.

Stupid grad school taking all my stupid money so I can't afford a stupid expensive car anymore. :(

Uhh... So, yay Ood. Gotta stay on topic.

I'm a Nissan girl myself. I have a blue cube and I call it my TARDIS. (IT REALLY IS BIGGER ON THE INSIDE!!!)

Ok, I personally think Cubes are the butt-fugliest cars ever made, but your description is so awesome I'll make an exception in your case, and I won't point and laugh lol. 🚙

I lurked for a long time too. Then I made an account to post about school, then lurked some more. Then I threw myself to the Bats :roflmao:

And we caught you, didn't we? ;)

That's it noelly. I was all with you until the Prius. Do you know how many times I get cut off by a Prius everyday? *rage*

That would probably be me. I'm faster and more nimble than most, and I can always get the small parking spaces. :)

I want to be part of all you COB's I have been doing this gig for about 37 years.

Awe you're too soft to join the COB club.

Naw, we're all softies on the inside; we just won't show it too often. The hard shell on the outside is for protection. Someday, some of these new ones will understand why we keep telling them to grow tougher skin. ;)

All you have to do to be an AN COB is copy the siggy line at the bottom and paste it into your siggy line.

Perhaps, but I mean more of a "let's take off your bumper and then slam on my breaks" kind of cut off.

When I first moved back to Vegas (I wasn't driving when I left) I would have panic attacks while driving down the freeway. Serious chest pain, can't breathe, sweating panic attacks.

ETA- That was 7 years ago. I'm good now.

Aww. That very thoughtful sentiment and online outpouring of public gratitude almost made me cry.

It's been one of those days. I need a hug. *reaches for chocolate and Midol*
