I'm Vince a 23 year old pre-nursing student. I will be taking A&P 1 and Chemistry this spring semester. I am very excited about the A&P class since we will have a cadaver to use in class. My chemistry class I am not to excited about. I just can't wait to get these classes under my belt.

Hiya! I'm Tasha. I'm taking A&P I this Spring. This is my last prerequisite before applying for the nursing program that will begin in Fall 2010. I'm looking forward to finishing this class...mainly because it's been forever since I've taken a science class, almost six years! I haven't been in a classroom setting for quite some time either. Since online classes have become more popular, I've been an advocate of taking my classes at home and work (don't tell my boss!). But I do look forward to the challenge. I anticipate studying like I should have when I was a freshman. I will take a total of seven credit hours this semester, which shouldn't be too tough...I hope! I hope this forum will allow me to communicate with other students in a similar situation that can allow us to learn together, and get through these next five months!

Best of luck, and blessings to all!!

hello friends, so i found this...yay!!....

students: to help you pass exams, i have put together most of the tests from those that i gave during my anatomy and physiology teaching career. included are 103 lecture exams, 99 quizzes, 14 lab identification exercises, 7 lab practicals, and 2 anatomy and physiology challenge exams. the tests are found under documents. try as many tests as you like and then check to see the correct answers at the end of each test.

a set of links to be used as tutorials, animations and games has been added. many of the tutorials and animations, and all of the games, are interactive. a sizeable set of links to practice tests is already on the internet. i think it's nice that learning such a difficult topic can actually be "fun". these links can be found on the left side of this page, starting with basic chemistry.

you have to register here though and it is free...i hope we get as much help as possible...the semester is almost here...there is this whole process of getting the notes and what not...i will try to see if i can get them or else you can go to http://www.divshare.com and the log in using [email protected] and password: elbow....then get the files...okie goodluck...

Yup, no worries. Whats the point of finding information if it can't be shared right?

Hello everyone. My name is Julie/ This is my very first blog on this website. I am excited and GRATEFUL for this website and the incredible individuals that I can share my journey with!!

1. I am registered for A&P1 this spring semester 2010. I attend a community college in Phx, Az.

2.I am taking 7hrs..Mat 121. I have only AP2 and Micorbiology to complete for my co-requisites. I finished pre-req thanks to my B.S from ASU. I will be applying in August 2010 for the RN program and April re-applying for the fast track PN program for Fall 2010 which is a year long program.

However, still must be on the RN list to advance to blocks 3 and 4 for the RN.

I endured six months of the PN program and failed the final by 20pts! I was so bummed....but more determined than EVER to go back and do it again. I am grateful for those six months because I developed steller study habits which will help with my classes this semester AND I now know what it takes to pass nursing school. I take my failure and will make it my success! So this semester and summer semester I will continue to study my books and NCLEX study guides. I have to keep my brain fresh and in the game:-)

Like some of you I am a 41yr returning college student after 10yrs in mortgage banking. I got my CNA license a year ago Nov. 2008 and have been working as a CNA/home health aid for a year. I did 4 yrs of volunteer work at the hospital prior to my first college stint so I wasnt going into this field on a blind whim.

Let me close by saying this. I LOVE what I do as a CNA and can not wait to grind past this brutal schooling process they put us through to get that certificate. Honest to God I think I can pass SEAL training after the semester I endured! Nursing is my passion. It is a part of my soul and hell wont stop me from gettng that certificate!!!. Sure I failed my 1st semester. But this is a journey is my dream and I made up my mind I was never going to give up EVER. I set my plan of action for my success going forward. I am grateful and will support my classmates that will continue on because I will need them when I get there. And I made it a point to thank each of my instructors and program director and told them I SHALL RETURN!!!! I was given more love that day from them just from that. SO FYI...Nursing instructors are tough but they care:-)

So to this I say..put God FIRST and make Him you BEST FRIEND and stay in prayer. You will need it. Stay focused and NEVER GIVE UP...E-V-E-R!!! As a nursing student this will be the hardest thing in your life that you will ever do. But reach in your soul, dig deep and go for it because in the end..you will come out of it a better person and a damn good nurse!!. Glad I have some new friends spread across this country and I look forward to sharing the success stories. THANKS so very much for starting this blog. Good luck to all of us this this semester. And I will rely on you all in my time of need and use me as well for support. Again..this journey is not easy..but worth it.

Sincerely

Julie

Hello everyone ;)

I am only taking 8 credits this semester. I will have A&P I and Medical Terminology. I have goofed up in the past with taking too many classes, working 2 jobs and caring for my 2 year old special needs son....so this semester I have decided to give myself a bit of a "break" hee hee.

At my school you don't really have to "apply"....you basically take the TEAS and the top 40 out of over 1,000 are IN. There is no wait list, etc....you can just keep retaking it if you would like every Fall.

I am actually in the Respiratory Care program, NOT nursing. HOWEVER, they do have a waist list, and I believe I will be about 34 before clinicals start :( So I am basically getting all the classes out of the way that will count for both majors...and when I get to the point I need to really decide if its worth the wait then I will decide if I should just take the TEAS and go into nursing instead.

Good Luck everyone!!
