A quick update I bombed the first lab quiz 4.5/10 saw that coming because it was something he made up and it tested us on the first week of stuff we learned but the rest of our lab quizzes will be oral. I took the second quiz Tuesday on Cells and felt a lot better I believe I got at least 7/10. We have another quiz on this Tuesday on Tissues and Skin I also have my first lecture exam on the 30th it will cover Marieb chapter 1-6 I believe. Anyone else using this book and would like to form an online study group let me know. Good luck to you guys I will be studying a lot this weekend especially since I also have my first Psyc exam this week.

Are you also using the online website. I would love to get on, my teacher gave me his code, but it seems since I purchases a used book I have to buy an access kit for 45. That is ridiculous. Do you know if that is my only option

We didn't get an access code in my class. I had purchased the "my place" before the class started. (about $20?), and used it a little. I just didn't care for it too much b/c the quizzes didn't change.

I like the quizzer on the msn link I posted earlier, along with other school's quizzes I found online.

Good luck! :)

I noticed they didnt change- DARN it... but once i realized some of the questions were worded EXACTLY as my professor worded them...it got me thinking.... I'll compare are chapt 1-3 lecture exam wednesday to it and see if she's taken more from there....

I wonder if its different if your teacher has an access code, you know, like different material different quizes etc..???

It probably depends on if your school purchases that plan.

My instructor wrote his own exams though, he did tell us that. (Actually prefer that than the tests where the instructor doesn't even know what's on it.) lol

I will be making myself start studying for the quiz today and for the test a lil bit everyday through the week. Yes we are doing 6 chapters for the first exam to say I am overwhelmed is an understatement. We are using Marieb 6th edition also and I haven't used the disc yet I can't even remember if my book is used lol I don't think it is though. My professor happens to be a doctor and he says that most of the stuff on the test will be from our notes in class which doesn't reassure me  I noticed we did skip chapter 2 so the test will cover 1,3-6 we have our class 3 days a week and only spent one day on chapters 1&5 the rest took two days.

We use the same book and our first exam will be next week as well.

We are so far through chapter 4 but he said that we would be through chapter 5 by the time the exam will be held. No such thing as reviewing in this class. We will also have our third lab quiz next week.

Are you taking a 8 or 10 week course. My class is for 15 weeks, so we meet twice a week. Good luck to you, I spent all weekend studying. 3 hours today at the library by myself, and it was great didn't have to hear MOM a hundred time.

LOL! I hear that! My hubby took my son to his Mom's for several hrs. on Saturday, so I just had the baby and she was being very good. Got lots of studying done! Yeay for peace and quiet!!! :chuckle

We finally got the date for our first test .. Oct. 26! Some of us were saying why not get it over with and be tested on less info. but I guess most people want to put it off a little longer. Oh well .. gives me more time I guess! LOL

I know just what you mean. I like to get things done and over with myself - no waiting and waiting, that just makes it worse. I remember this driving me bonkers in high school too! Perhaps that's why I waited to go to college. :rotfl: Er . . . at least that's a good excuse. :D

I made a 96 on my first exam! YIPPEE! Highest grade in the class...
