Hi everyone, hope you're all having a great day. I took my first A&P lecture test today. Chapter 1 & 2 of Saladin's book. The multiple choice portion was pretty good, but we had a fill in the blank short answer portion too. I studied my butt off, but I can't help but wonder if I gave the answers she was looking for. It can be so tricky sometimes with the way they word the questions. I'm hoping for a "B" *fingers and toes crossed*. This weekend I'll be studying the bones of the upper body extremities

I know what you mean - I ended up missing a question on what cilia is most like because they were looking for something else that is microscopic. I put that it is most like a fine hair since the text says "Cilia is a hair-like structure . . . ", but they wanted flagellum because flagellum is microscopic as is cilia. Yikes! I guess this is good practice for us for nursing school. :chuckle

Last Thursday we had lecture and lab test for Saladin's book, we tested on the 1st seven chapters. It was 50 multiple choice for lecture and 20 for lab. I only got a C+ very disappointed in myself. Guess I will just study harder for the next 5 chapters.

I'm sure you'll do great. You have a good attitude about it, that's usually the key ingredient. :)

Wow, I'm bushed! I reviewed my A&P chapter and then remembered I have to lead the singing at a ladies' church meeting tomorrow a.m. and do a camp presentation. Oi.

My neck is so stiff from working at the computer! I'm going to bed!

Happy A & Peeing

A quick update I bombed the first lab quiz 4.5/10 saw that coming because it was something he made up and it tested us on the first week of stuff we learned but the rest of our lab quizzes will be oral. I took the second quiz Tuesday on Cells and felt a lot better I believe I got at least 7/10. We have another quiz on this Tuesday on Tissues and Skin I also have my first lecture exam on the 30th it will cover Marieb chapter 1-6 I believe. Anyone else using this book and would like to form an online study group let me know. Good luck to you guys I will be studying a lot this weekend especially since I also have my first Psyc exam this week.

Make sure you use the my a& p that you get with the book online. We also are using Marieb, however our first lecture exam is chap 1-3, and its Wednesday. I spent last night going over all of the pre tests- the interactive quiz type things on each chap 1-3 on mariebmap.com I found that some of the questions on our first quiz, were part of the quiz's on this website...fancy how that works :)

There is a lot of interactive stuff on there, so if your a visual learner thats great!

Good luck, about time someone else said they were using marieb!

Hey Brandy. I am also using the same book, but can't seem to log onto the website. Is it really helpful. That's funny I also will be having my first lecture test on Wed, covering chapter 1-3 I am so nervous. I also agree with you I was so happy to hear other people are using the same book as me. Keep me posted how you did on the test.
