A&P 2 - which was the hardest system?

In A&P 1, muscles was a killer, but the rest was doable.

So for A&P 2 (which I have now), which was the hardest IYO, for people that have already taken it?

So far we've done blood, and the circulatory system, I thought it was actually pretty easy to understand, and now we're on lymphatics and immune/endorcrine.

I have A&P II now. We started with the Endocrine system, which I've been told is one of the more difficult systems. We have since moved to the reproductive system.

I thought AP1 was more of a challenge than AP2 overall. If I had to pick something from AP2, maybe it was the chapters on lymphatics/immunity that I found the most challenging. Also because it's not something you can easily see on a dissected cat :D

the hardest system of A&P II, had to be the heart, the endocrine, reproductive, urinary, were pretty easy,:)

Endocrine was by far the hardest in my opinion.

Hmmm.....we did the Endocrine system in A&P I. I thought it was pretty easy.

We started with the Digestive System in A&P II. We just had our first test and that system was super easy. We start on Blood this week. So far I am liking II better than I did the first one. I am really into learning how all the systems work.

I dont like muscular system. All other systems were fairly decent!

The anatomical system I found the hardest was skull - all those foramen. The physiologic system I am finding the most difficult is endocrine. We do our Anatomy and Physiology is separate courses.

I'm curious - every now and again, I read about dissected cats. Do a lot of programs use cat cadavers as opposed to human cadavers?

Seems to be the case, and it's prob less expensive. Most people think these cats are cultivated for the purpose of human dissection but the truth is that they are cats that are going to be euthanized anyway and they are purchased for anatomy labs for study before they are cremated. The cats clearly look like ones that sadly people would not normally want. My cat has like 4 fur colors  ...

That was the case in my school anyway ... I wish we had human cadavers though, it would be more true to life.

We're using a fetal pig for dissection. Very interesting. Hardest part of A & P II...I just started the class a few weeks ago and Metabolism is totally incomprehensible to me. It's ALL chemistry; I've spent all day reading and I haven't a clue what I have read! Yikes and I have an exam this week.

I took A&P I and then A&P II in a regular semester (8 weeks each) pretty intense to say the least!! In A&PII (we dissected fetal pigs) I found metabolism to be my weakness because I have no prior Chemistry (taking it this semester)....and I had to have more hours for financial aid this semester so I am also taking Human Anatomy (dissecting human cadavers, student led dissection as opposed to instructor dissecting while we watch) just for fun!! haha. Yup I'm a dork.

cardiovascular is the hardest IMO.
