A&P 2 - which was the hardest system?

In A&P 1, muscles was a killer, but the rest was doable.

So for A&P 2 (which I have now), which was the hardest IYO, for people that have already taken it?

So far we've done blood, and the circulatory system, I thought it was actually pretty easy to understand, and now we're on lymphatics and immune/endorcrine.

Endocrine has always been the thorn in my side....

Endocrine and Nervous systems seem hard to me.

Love the immune system!

We're using a fetal pig for dissection. Very interesting. Hardest part of A & P II...I just started the class a few weeks ago and Metabolism is totally incomprehensible to me. It's ALL chemistry; I've spent all day reading and I haven't a clue what I have read! Yikes and I have an exam this week.

Yeah, I hate dissection. In my Zoology class we dissected planeria, frogs, fish, birds, turtles, cats and sharks. Hated every minute of it.

Is Chem not a required course for A&P II? Metabolism should not throw ya. It is simply taking complex molecules and reducing them to simpler forms. For example; Cellular respiration, the glycolysis portion of respiration converts a mono saccharide into ATP, but most sugars are poly sacchs such as starch in a potato. So Amylase assist in the metabolism of poly sacchs into mono like glucose like C6H12O6, where glycolysis can perform its function. The sugar is further processed in the Citric cycle making 36 ATP for the body to use. Each type of food needs an enzyme to metabolize it such as peptase or lactase.

i thought nervous was the hardest. i don't know why, but i just had a hard time keeping everything straight in my brain

The Endocrine system was by far the worst!

Luckily, we tackled that one first, so it was smooth sailin' after that!

:yeah:

DEFINITELY the nervous system. Our book has 3 chapters on it and we've just finished the first two. Unfortunately I got a C on the test and am feeling a bit discouraged at this point. Thankfully the next part of the nervous system is the senses and doesn't seem quite as difficult as all the brain/spinal terminology. *crosses fingers

Responding back to my old thread - we are now on endorcrine - along with immune and lymphatic, the latter two I find much easier. Endocrine, UGH! It's like muscles all over again (not as bad though), all the hormones we have to know! GAHHHHHHHHHH!!!! WHY? I'm going to forget them after the test, I gurantee it.

Still liking A&P 2 better than 1. In 1 I never got over 100% on my tests like I am now, and it's so nice to finally get the grade I really deserve for all of my hard work.:) May sound like arrogance, but the time I put into studying is no joke!

Hello there, I had you in my A&P1 and I totally agree with your statement. I like the teacher I have now for A&P2 and I feel like my grades are finally reflecting the amount of time I put into studying. By the way, we are now on the Respiratory system and just finished up on the Endocrine and the Immune System.
