I don't know how the swimmer feels about being misgendered. In my experience with the couple of patients I've had they've been understanding when they've had to correct us in bedside shift change report because it's the effort that matters to them. I suppose if the nurse said "no, you're a man pretending to be a woman and I will call you a man because you can't argue with biology" they'd be offended. Just a hunch.

Again, we could have avoided a lot of bruhahaha had you just allowed me my feelings and let it be or said "it's a man participating in a woman's sport" (and yes you are misgendering her) at which time I would have allowed you your feelings because we've long established how each other feels.

That's all. I'm just going to go to the Pink Pony Club and have a cocktail and mind my business.

It only makes sense if you buy into that divisive right-wing rhetoric and bigoted propaganda. When you encounter people who are unable to identify the huge holes in the "logic" of their explanations, you have encountered people who are living in a media bubble.

You make an important point. The liars hire incompetent people because they are cis white men or because they are loyal to the POTUS while telling lies about competence relative to DEI. They point incompetent fingers at others and project their own weaknesses onto them and unthinking people simply accept their claims because it fits nicely with their own biases and beliefs.

MAGA clearly has no capacity to accurately assess or identify competence when Trump is their example of the highest standard of competence, integrity, or ethics as elevated and defended by MAGA. Trump is the gold standard of right wing competence. His people and propaganda outlets simply promote dishonesty, division, and hate. We had 4 years of it before and we're 100+ days into more of the same exhausting, vindictive and ugly thinking and behavior that swirls around Trump.

I could be wrong but isn't it the medical and phycological status if trans people that causes the concern for military service? It may be better to look at each individual but there is something different that just being gay. Gay people haven't been banned from the military.

A genuine look into why exactly the Trump administration bans trans from the military would be interesting. However just calling him a bigot and transphobic is easier and more fun for some I guess?

My understanding is that Mattis did look at the impact of trans on military readiness and found it was nonexistent. Of course, this was when qualified people held cabinet posts. That's all out the window now.
