School's out at 11:30 tomorrow....but there are finals for the HS today and the MS is on a field trip.

I come back August 18, school starts up the 25th, which is a week either than most schools in my area. We have 190 school days built into our school year, not 180.

We got out June 6th, staff worked through the 10th. Staff goes back August 11th, students return August 18th.

This is my last day. Students got out June 4th which was a half day. we had alot of optional work days. mainly added from the snow storms. School starts back August 25th for the kids and we start back Aug 18. WooHoo! Who all is working a summer job?????

Me, LTC, but I work perdiem year round so I am giving them more hours per week for about 5 weeks.

I am working a 2 week summer gig, but it is as the technical director of a middle school theater camp, which is very non-nursing. Well, kinda - I do end up using a lot of the communication skills I use as a school nurse :).

I like that school nursing gives me a chance to take a little break to indulge my other passion.

School mid-week during the first week of June. I'm working summer school until mid-July then I go back Aug. 7th and school starts Aug. 14th. My few weeks off are going to be like a dream.

Kids were out since June 6. I was supposed to go another day to coincide with the teacher's days but my son got appendicitis and I didn't go back. He's fine. I'll probably go in during the summer to clean up some last minute stuff I didn't get to but I'm super happy to be off work. I know this break will go by fast - we have to be back by mid-August. :no: That messes things up for most folks in this community who have kids in 4-H and the fair is Labor Day weekend.

This will be my last year though. Not going back for my credential. You can only work 5 years with a temporary credential.

And I'll be doing cartwheels then. :up:
