Wow, I am not a school RN but you guys have the most interesting posts. Is there a way to support my local school RNs? I'd love to kick in for some granola bars and a microwave, etc.

This is because I work 11-7 in geriatrics and afternoons or full days in a school.... I really really really want eight hours of uninterrupted sleep. Really. I just want that.

I am sure they would be more than happy with a gift. The best way to meet a need is to ask. Despite general attitude, private school nurses are normally operating on a shoestring and are considered afterthoughts by administration when it comes to budget. They are often operating on less than half the per student expenditures of public schools, so you may consider those schools, too.

I want a supply of food that isn't saltines for all the students that hate the school lunch and visit me hungry. I can get frustrated at these kiddos, but I know some of them have no good food options at home either.

But my #1 wish: that every piece of paperwork I sent home that I need parents to return would actually get to the parent and come back completed!

I am a unicorn. Well...that's what my husband tell me. Don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing.

Please, I'm not that greedy. It can arrive on a simple white horse.

I love my full size skeleton. It articulates so I do a fun monthly health theme with costumes. The kiddos and staff love it. After reading all the posts I am very fortunate so I won't complain about the whole no lunch thing.
