Student sent to the clinic by her teacher because she was "shaking". Student just got off the bus. Student is wearing a zip-up, hoodie type jacket. It is 18 degrees outside.

I have no words. NO. WORDS.

They got a warm hug with a few vigorous arm rubs and advice to wear a thicker jacket in the morning (after making sure she has a thicker jacket at home)

It is ice week here. Teachers have been sending down all forms of discomfort for ice. Yesterday I got a kid with a broken fingernail.

If it is cold where you are. Just put em outside for a few minutes, either with no coat, or just a hoodie. Problem. Solved. :)

I will have kids come in from recess in snowpants/boots/coats/hats/gloves and cheeks as red as apples asking for icepacks from falling down and getting a random bump! Umm..your as cold as your gonna get.

I think I have been blessed cause I have yet to see anyone for this complaint. Last year I had an exacerbated teacher bring in a kid crying from outside and the teacher said, "tell them they don't have frostbite".

It is 70 degrees here and somehow the warm weather makes them play tougher and rougher...made 6 ice packs already at lunch recess. As for OP's teacher...:nono:
